The absolute heartbeat of this football team. He was immense , leadership qualities aside ,he's just a genuinely excellent CM.

He's so good. Would walk into any team and wouldn't look out of place.

Brilliant energy and mopped up a lot of loose balls in the middle of the park. Felt like he was everywhere and was near flawless with the ball as per.

even when we were 4-1 up I think he was still demanding the wide players get wider to open the pitch up more. Such an intelligent player and will go on to be a really good manager. Genuinely so lucky to have him

Usual top tier performance by the captain, but that 25 yarder would have been * glorious if it went in. Caught it sweet plenty of power but a good save tbf.

Is he a better captain than Broony? I’m starting to think so.

A lot of Browns leadership qualities came from the sort of hard man persona he brought to the pitch. Cal is just natural leadership all over, he can be aggressive but it’s not his main quality as a captain.
