It's kinda funny that its so clear that the club say something like "If you don't know how to answer a question, just say big club and fantastic fans" :56:

Seems to have a great mentality

Not quite the last minute deal that it was portrayed as, then.

See being fair I don’t think that many are but I don’t see this as a massive defence. I believe it shows we were waiting to sell O’Riley before firming up our interest.

In addition, the fact we did so probably boosted the price his club were willing to accept and similarly in the case of Bogusz.

This is very much in line with the risk averse way the club is run. We could have committed to buying one of the above before selling O’Riley.

    Nope

Wouldn't be surprised though if he's was being looked at as far back as January

He says he was made aware of the interest 6 weeks before the window closed/deal completed.

We (fans) only got wind of interest (potentially) about 4 weeks before the end of the window.

    Giving a 2 week difference.

Absolutely love that we signed him and pushed the boat out, but that's a shocking level of time to get the deal done.

Sure it wasn't him or Augsburg waiting to see if a better deal came along in the remaining six weeks of the window ....

I really don't think Clement has any idea what he's got himself into over there.....

He's an average European type manager who has never experienced anything in his managerial career such as the gold fish bowl that is Glasgow. The mob will be outside castle greyskull with their torches & pitch forks now

We were waiting on the O’Riley deal being done and being pro-active to pull the trigger, but had it lined up. It wouldn’t have went through if O’Riley stayed.

Think that’s an obvious thing that, and very common deals are lined up waiting on another happening. It’s just not so common us being that proactive.

Can you see the benefit of the break sometimes for Arne Engels who goes away and becomes a Belgium international? Will you see the fruits of that going forward?

He is a very young player. It was great for him being a young player who has played a lot of games in the Bundesliga. He was on the way to a talented Belgium squad. It was really nice as we brought him in and he got his first cap and his first feel of being a Celtic player in a Rangers game and now he's back and motivated to do well like the others.

Has the ability to drift into the box which wasn't apparent in his highlights.

Definitely showing good signs. Still adjusting to the speed n physicality. Couple more games he’ll be settled. Looks promising though

Was a great performance for me..

Beasting * out the way without going to ground but when he did go to ground he won everything as well..

Can barely remember a loose pass from him. Everything was smooth..

Could've had 4 goals. Penalty was cool as *..

    Took up great positions..

Was the complete box to box role. Looked what he is, a clear level above..

    Won a watch..

    immediately noticeable star aura
this is what an extra 4-5 mil can buy you

Great performance (bar one lost ball which would've ended up putting us in trouble against a better opposition)

And this is his first full start. Once he learns what his teammates do and vice versa, he will only improve. Very noticeable is the touch and move speed. Hope the others can match his football brain with that as I always feel we are a bit ponderous when it comes to quick 1-2s.

Has an arrogance about him in how he carries himself which all the top, top, players have.
