Not too sure how to do that Scuzz, maybe if you go to youtube and do a search for John Docherty (not the boxer) you'll see them.

I think I saw a seagull chasing after a sparrow hawk - sounds ridiculous but I’m almost sure that’s what it was.Maybe the hawk has swooped at chicks - was in a motor and couldn’t stop.

That’s very possible KRS,it’s quite common for birds to mob predators to drive them out of the area.

We were in Troon for my son's wedding. We went for a walk into Troon centre. This is the second pic I took. This guy started to eye me up as I walked by. I do love a Gull. And the wedding was superb

I was out in my back garden this morning when I was seranaded by a stunning Great *. What a way to start the day. I was about to go back inside when I noticed a Sparrowhawk circling above me in the sky. Sorry I couldn't get any pictures but it was a superb start to the day.

This morning on my local patch i at long last saw my first Merlin of the year. I well spotted a fine female with her jerky flight fly past and then hang around over the local town before chasing a small bird and then out of sight. A fine migrant this compact small falcon, my 9th bird of prey for my local patch this year and 11th overall.

Before this fine sight i saw a juvenile Kestrel learning to hunt, practice practice practice. And yesterday on my local patch i was delighted to see a male Sparrowhawk mob a female Goshawk, the difference in size!!!!!!!

    Cheers John.:50:
I took a long drive up into north Donegal to an animal sanctuary called Wild Ireland and had a great day there, there are plenty animals and birds to view including a pair of brown Bears rescued from tiny cages in eastern Europe, a few Barbary Macaques rescued after being kept as pets in various countries, there are Arctic Foxes, Grey Wolves, Reindeer, Red Foxes, Lynx, too many other species to mention, all are kept in large enclosures so a bit hit and miss whether they appear, i managed to get a few pics (over 500  ) so will post a few over the few weeks.
