Aye probably Engels and Trusty, with Valle at a push..

    McCowan likely won't..

I don't see any of the deadline-day lads starting. BR will almost certainly go: KS, AJ, CCV, Scales, Taylor, Bernardo, CalMac, Hatate, Kuhn, Kyogo, Maeda. Forrest instead of Kuhn possibly. Valle, McCowan and maybe Trusty on bench. I don't think Engels will be included yet.

Velle will absolutely be given the opportunity to become starter at LB , Rodgers will be hoping he slots in well and can be better than Taylor for us. He's not here in case Taylor gets injured.
Sunday will be too soon for him but in the coming weeks he will play.

    Super nervous for this one.

Can't get over confident, need to get stuck into them right away.

Early goal and they will crumble, great chance for a major statement early in the season:Kyogo:

I think McCowan is more likely to play this one than Engels. Just on the bases he’s settled, knows the league has played against them numerous times.

Bernardo will get the nod to start you’d imagine though.

I agree with this, although it will be one training session for the guys at least a couple of them will be on the bench.

It’s important that all 3 have been playing football so they will come in close to being ready to play. It’s not like buying someone who has been on the fringes or out of first team football.

The other thing is if you don’t put them on the bench who do you? Midfield options would be Holm and Turley.

Trusty or Welsh? Valle not so sure but he’s been here close to a week so probably depends how he has looked but he may not be there. McCowan I think is a certainty to be on the bench.

Depends on the context of the game but McCowan will 100% be more equipped to deal with Sunday than Engels at this point, even from the bench.

Maeda and Kuhn to absolutely terrorise them is my prediction - 4 - 0 Celtic, we're going to give them a hiding.

Rodgers will ensure there's no complacency ahead of this game, play the game not the occasion. :BR1:

Mccowan is the most likely to get some game time. He understands the fixture and has single-handedly ripped their midfield apart. With better players around him the sky is the limit

Only question marks now are Taylor or Alex, Trusty or Scales and Bernardo or Engles.

I think Rodgers will go for those who have experienced the game before.

I expect to see all three and McCowan from the bench, especially if we're cruising.

I think McCowan is guaranteed to play on Sunday, if it's comfortable I'd be giving him 20 minutes at least, if it's not I'd give him 5-10.

Engels and Trusty should only really play if we're pumping them, otherwise I'd be starting both of them the following week against the diets. Valle I'd fully save until the following week.

I reckon their plan will be counter attack with balls over the top to their forwards n try beat us with pace. Once we control that we should be fine. We’re definitely going to be too much for them in midfield, I think they’ll drop Lawrence and play sterling Barron and diomande to try unsettle our midfield with constant fouls that go unpunished. Our midfield will still be too strong. Then our attack will blow them the * away. CMON THE HOOPS :ireland::ynwacelti:ynwacelti:ynwacelti

    Fair points chaps..

Our squads definitely fairly strong now on paper anyway. Bit more depth all round..

I think the only slight worry for me tomorrow is Cerny on Taylor, he's their best player and fairly rapid. However, I could easily see Maeda nullifying his threat if tavernier has his usual stinker, forcing Cerny back.

Outside of him, there's no other players that worry me from them, Dessers could maybe cause a problem or two but he's largely pish.

As I said earlier, I'll take any win against them, but a pumping would be beautiful.

Heard this ind of thing from Rodgers before after new signings are just in the door. When he's asked whether they could be involved in the next game he generally hits out with something along the lines of "Yeah, they're ready if needed.

Then proceeds to not use them.

Not saying it's the wrong thing to do, just a trend I feel like I've noticed in the past. Can see the argument for continuity in the team for this one given how we've started the season too.

Will be interesting to see who makes the bench if any. Can't see a single one of them being thrown straight in.
