Delighted with our business overall. Maybe a winger short of what I wanted, but don't think the club were at fault there and we deffo have good options there as is.

9/10 for me, absolutely incredible the amount we've managed to shift. It's like a FM transfer window really, got (almost) everything we wanted which is so * difficult to pull off.

Also enjoyable watching * freak out all the way through it and now look for things to help justify their negativity. It was an excellent window ya fannies, get over yerself :BR1:

Big difference was actually signing four first team ready players instead of just projects, Engels, Trusty, Idah and Bernardo. Still a bit light especially left back where we could have no first team player in position at end of season

If Trusty is better than Scales, Valle better than Taylor and Engels can soften the blow of losing O'Riley then it's been a decent window. If they're all duds then we really * it.

Taylor will sign an extension and imo Tierney will come for free.

I'm really happy with the window, I guess it's over to our wingers to prove they are good enough to be here until Jan..

A lot of credit goes to Rodgers for pushing the bar high.. and I take comfort that he's called out the need to change our recruitment structure/strategy, which we need to see happen quickly..

Happy with that. Couldve used a winger tho
Its how the window should be quality.

Although in January we need a rile until celtic announce the tranfer we dont create a thread

I think the best signing was our first one, Schmeichel. Genuinely believe, with his ability on the ball, we become a much better team when passing out from the back.

Of course, the signing I’m most excited to see is Arne Engels. You can’t not be excited when the club break their transfer record and especially for a young guy who seems to have all the physical attributes to go to the very top.

I think the signing that will surprise us most is Bernardo. I think he could take his game to a new level this season and will really help soften the blow of losing O’Riley from an attacking perspective.

The signing I’m happiest about? Has to be McCowan. What a * great story. Living the absolute dream. Living our dream. Love that sort of *.

Signing that worries me the most is Valle. Not because I don’t think he will cut it but because I’m worried we may have an absolute gem on our hands and teams beat us to the permanent signing for £3m.

I find it really odd the amount of people keep on going about overpaying for Idah. Every transfer when we bid lower than what a club wants people moan that we are haggling over a million or two and not backing the manager. When the club pays what other clubs want they get criticised. Just be glad the club was willing to back the manager.

It's odd because I feel that if all the signings were closer together, we'd all have different view of it.

Do agree with others saying we could and should have spent a bit more... first off I'm not saying we could have signed these exact players but when we see other clubs signing Jota for around €8mill, Chiesa for £12.5mill... then a proper scouting system I would expect should be able to find deals akin to that. The game is large enough where they should be able to source more.

We are light upfront and on the wings because if Rodgers is intending to make Maeda a more versatile option who will likely start mostly at LW and cover ST there is two players there we should have signed, I mean not that Transfermarkt is a the gospel and is 100% true and correct, but even on a free there is still some interesting options as older heads available.

Odd, that's the only way I can explain it, just left with the feeling more could.have been done

Credit where Credit is due. For years we wanted the board to spend decent on on decent players- rather than scattergun spending on a load of players and tbf, they done just that this window.

I am a greedy * and wanted more but will give the board all the patience in the world if we now shopping form players between £6-£11m.

Just hope this signals a change in our trading strategy

Yeah more could have been done and a good recruitment set up in place we probably would have. But I'm certain that the window isn't this good if the previous one was still in place. Hopefully the club are also creating a new one ready for January.

It’s a good start and that’s what it has to be… a start. It needs to be built upon over the next couple of windows and better structure put in place.

Meh. Board do what they do every year. Last minute deals trying to save money and trick fans into thinking it was a good window.

In reality we still haven’t used any of the 100m sitting in our bank as we sold as much as we brought. If all the lads hit the ground running I’ll obviously think differently but as it stands it’s just meh.

Would have liked to saw Yang and Rocky go and another winger and CB in.

I'm okay with our business. Delighted to clear out lots of deadwood.

I wonder if we are giving Nawrocki and Palma a last 4 months at it to show. Last chance.

Still work needing done in January with a top class LW.

Now to get an actual structure in place to make it less slow and painful for all involved.

You don't need to blow every penny as soon as you get it. Having a big buffer is allowing us to pay transfer fees never seen since O'Neil and without getting us in debt. It's also allowed us to up our wage structure meaning we can get players like arne. It's a start of buying ready made players. I'm happy. Will go back in for that winger in janaury when there window is open also so will happily be able to move.

Made a disastrous window potentially decent at death - 7/10
    Compared to last season.....
    • Replaced one very good veteran keeper with another - good business, likely an upgrade. Also brought in young, potential successor - good planning
    • Lost best, most creative player and replaced with a 20 year old record signing with potential to be just as good, maybe better in a year or 2
    • Potentially decent upgrade at CB with Trusty, not CCV level but expected to be better than current CB options
    • Loan only for 20 year old LB from Barca who was on loan at Levante last season - potential upgrade on Taylor but only for a season.
    • Good deal to keep Bernardo, potential first choice but not just yet - needs to step up a wee bit more
    • Overpaid to keep Idah, likely 2nd choice striker but great option - good to see we actually spent the cash
    • CM from Dundee to boost UCL squad via home grown rule. Sub at best but useful to bring in to rest others, doesn't improve first XI
    • Got rid of a whole load of dead wood for very, very good money - probably biggest achievement from the window
One huge positive is that we have upped the quality and downed the quantity - hope that trend continues.

Big negative is that we continue to spend massively less than we bring it in, so still stockpiling cash - that simply has to change.
Another problem (as our manager says himself) we must be more organised and get business done far quicker. Clear need for a reorg of sporting side of the club.

Overall 7/10? - but well we'll find out soon enough in UCL

Find it odd ppl really backing the board for spending 20m on 2 players. We sold 3 players for over 60m in the last year
