Talks are still on-going with a deal close to the £6m mark likely to get an agreement. Celtic would need to get a quick deal done because there would be work permit issues

I like to think that I watch a lot of football and I didn’t watch them once last year. One season does not make a poor footballer.

 

KT would be out half the season injured if his history is anything to go by. He is too much of a risk.

I get what you mean but i just can't see Brendan going like "Okey, lets take us to the next level so we can compete in europe. To do that, we need to bring in Auston Trusty".

I am highly confident that he had several other targets in mind that the board dont want to pay for.

 

Surely we have a list of potential targets for each position that he wants strengthened though mate. And it can’t be a case of maybe three or four players on that list with the one he really wants and the others made up of cheaper options that the board fancy. Either way like I say getting so tired of transfer windows. Used to love them. All the rumours. Maybe just a realisation that for the most part the rumours are just horseshit

 

From how it's told, by Rodgers himself, he's felt the recruitment/board where he wants to strengthen.
Whoever makes up a supposed recruitment team has brought him a list of names.
Rodgers goes through it and marks out the names he wants/would take.
That revised list goes to the board/money men.

It's anyone's guess what they do with that list, but I'd be surprised if they start at the top and go instantly for the first choice. I imagine they aim lower to be cheaper, assuming any name on the list will be acceptable.
