Does really need to be me that says I can't see how we manage to get all our business done we need in the next 3 days?

Anyone still backing the board and their "policy" are being taken for an absolute mug.

Another estimated £200 for the CL coming soon as well.

We may still pull it off but we need to do in the next 3 days what it's taken us 7 weeks to do so far.

At this point I can't see Rodgers hanging around. If this squad doesn't get vastly improved the CL games will be a tough watch.

It's not been a great window so far; but I find it quite interesting that the feeling seems to be a lot more negative about it than it was last season for what was, frankly, one of the worst windows I've ever seen.

That one was horrific, while this one is merely a bit "meh" at worst and with time left still to turn that into "pretty good".

Is the negativity just due to the cumulative effect of the last 4 windows?

We will go into the biggest game of the season weaker than last season. Pretty negligent from a board with an obscene amount of money to spend on improvements. Think about that for a second. An opportunity to invest in genuine quality, which the manager has being asked for, and 4 days out from a big game we have sold a star player, brought in a like for like keeper on a short term contract and signed two players from last season who were benchers.

    Yeah, room for improvement.

I think so plus the fact the the board come out and said sorry I think we all expected for us to be ready to come out the traps this time.

It was bad enough but we lost MOR which we knew was happening and we only have a few days left to try replace him. The club are treating the fans like idiots and simply as cash cows by the board. They don't care about the fans as anyone who drops out another fan is eager to throw their money at the club.

I've everything crossed we get these 3 or 4 players in but if you were handed a tonne of money and told to bet either way I know which way most would bet (even the happiest of clappers).

About 62 hours left of the window and the only position we've improved upon from last season is a loan left back.

Idah and Bernardo both make us stand still.
Kasper for me is at least on a par with hart, time will tell if much of an improvement.

    Mor is out the door.

On paper, we are still weaker than last season. With the only additional that is a vague positional improvement is a loaned left back.

Now that's painting it negatively. I like the look of the left back and Kasper certainly is not weaker than Hart and I'm sure we will see his goods in the coming weeks and months.
But neither are massive improvements and when you add in losing O'Rielly, then it's madness to be this close to the end of the window and we are considerably weaker because of it all.

Engels, Bougasz and trusty would bring the squad up a small level and mark it on paper as an acceptable window. But the nature of how it's planned out and the fact we are likely to still be net profit here, is utterly mental.

I think we were weakened a lot more last season, though, and people seemed to feel less strongly about it. We also seem to be making a serious effort to get a quality replacement for O'Riley, which we didn't do last summer with Jota.

In my case, yup. Over £100m in the bank and we're waiting to sell first. But eff it, this record has been played so many times now the flipping thing is worn out.

    * the board. NOTHING will change until we get these * out asap.money grabbing tory *. Until some serious sustained boycotting of games and merch takes place nothing will change. Watch us get shafted in europe with teams with half our budget. HH

Yeah bud, all it would have taken was a wee gander at his actual thread and you’d have confirmed it for yourself.

I think it is the cumulative effect, but last year at this point there was some optimism that Bernardo and Palma could be good players, Yang and Holm had shown flashes, Nawrocki looked alright before getting injured.

It could even be stretched to 5 transfer windows apart from bringing in Jota and CCV permanently and Ange begging Mooy to come in on a short term deal the rest of that window wasn’t very fruitful either.

Back on this window if we get any fewer than 3 on top of Valle this has been a shambles. Overpaying for a second choice striker, a back up Goalkeeper, a loan of a youth from Barca and bringing back a talented but ultimately back up centre midfielder from last year and only really changing goalkeeper because our hand was forced.

The big positive so far has been the performances on the pitch.

    GK: Kasper, Sinisalo, Bain ✅
    LB: Valle, Taylor, Scales ✅
CB: CCV, Trusty, Scales, Welsh, Nawrocki, Iwata
    RB: Johnston, Ralston, Welsh ✅
CM: CalMac, Hatate, Bernardo, Holm, Iwata
    CAM: Engels, Bernardo, Bogusz
    LW: Maeda, Palma, Forrest
    ST: Kyogo, Idah, Bogusz
    RW: Kuhn, Forrest, Yang

So get Trusty, Engels and Bogusz in the door, one more winger if we’re feeling good.

I imagine McGowan is a back up when Bogusz falls through. I imagine Brendan is begging the board to sign Engels or he’ll walk.

You have made that look better than what it is. Scales and Welsh cannot play fullback and Iwata defo cannot play CB.

We need, at minimum, a CB and two midfielders (Engels + Bogusz/Sanches)

A forward (loan with option?) on top of that would change this into a good window.

Right now, as mentioned by others, we’re weaker overall without O’Riley. Engels looks like a different type of player, but someone who would walk into our team and provide some balance. Bogusz looks good and can cover a few positions well, but I think it’ll end up being a last minute deal for Sanches (who looks good too, albeit maybe not as proven as the other two).

Not a fan of Trusty but he would give us more athleticism and pace at the back and at the very least would improve the squad.

The one good thing we’ve managed to do this window is ship off a load of fringe players for good fees. I’d like to see the same with Palma, Nawrocki, and loan out Holm and Yang.

Frame as 3rd choice left back then?

Don’t know who would be our 3rd choice right back would be then.

Both scales and welsh have played fullback at various points with the club. We can’t afford to have insane depth in each position. Versatility is important.

Iwata as SIXTH choice CB may need to work as we have shipped out two CB’s Brendan deemed not good enough

So just read into this loan rule thing.

Under 21 and same association loans don't count towards the 6.

    Tilio
    Bernabei
    Kenny
    Lagerbielke

Have filled 4 of the 6 slots we are allowed.

Could loan Holm to dundee as part of any deal for mccowan or even yang.

Fully expect Palma to take up a loan slot if the deal for bogusz somehow gets over the line.

If all the deals get over the line rumoured then the squad would look like (25 man) not counting B squad. Expect Holm and Palma out.

    GK: Schmeichel, Sinisalo, Bain
    RB: Johnston, Ralston
CB: CCV, Scales, Trusty, Nawrocki, Welsh
    LB: Taylor, Valle
CM: McGregor, Bernardo, Hatate, Engles, McCowan, Iwata
Wingers: Forrest, Khun, Daizen, Bogusz, yang
    CF: Kyogo and Idah

Club Trained: McGregor, Ralston, Forrest, Welsh
    Association: Taylor, McCowan, Bain

Still 1 player short for UCL squad requirements
