At the same time I feel he is also wasted at us, like to me he is a clearly superior footballer and far more clever than like McDonald and Griffiths or Edouard and Dembele or anyone but for us he isn't really that much more useful than them because we're not that good and don't get to see him at his best.

Dumber more mediocre players who are just decent can be just as effective as him for us because we play in a way those types get a lot of chances to score anyway.

We definitely take him for granted. His goal return has been sensational. Scores massive goals regularly. Hunskelper and has done it in Europe too.

Kyogo>>>Idah every day of the week and it's not even close right now.

See another factor in all this, there is a serious lack of good strikers in world football just now.

Look at some of the players leading the line at the last Euros that aren’t exactly household names. Also the number of older strikers amongst that.

Alvarez left city because he wanted to play every game and that wasn’t happening as a striker whilst they have Haaland.

I reckon with how he'd be used in theory at City, he'd easily manage a goal every 100 minutes.

You get some of their creative players like KDB, Foden, Silva.

More than enough for someone to be effective under tutelage or Pep.

He'd certainly have more freedom to make dangerous use of his movement in the EPL.

I'd certainly be intrigued to see how he would fair at that level moving from us to City.

If he does well it could even help us attract new players as we can always point out the success of ex players when they use us as a stepping stone and really work on their game.

Some may not like us being used like that, but I'd be all for it if the result is we can start getting in better talent earlier in their career

Some good points. We are actually becoming a very attractive club to come to because big clubs have been sniffing about our players for the last couple of years now.

If this happens, I'll preface every single one of my posts with "Turns out I know nothing about football" for the rest of the season.

I just can't see this happening.

The injury is a big thing as ultimately he's going to need to sit out a couple of months at some point in the near future. Also as much as I love him at Celtic I don't think he's good enough for Man City

I think we would get £15M circa for Kyogo if City are serious about their intentions.

If need and very rarely it is. Rotator cuff surgery would mean he would be out for 4 months and that's with small tear anymore and it can be a year

Btw, I'd be more surprised if this doesn't go through at this point.

What a disaster this window could end up being.

It's almost as if there's a Glasgow derby coming up soon with all these rumours popping up as the window draws to an end...

Board spread this rumour so at the end of the window when we’ve not brought what we need in they can say, ‘least we held onto Kyogo’

These people are just.trying their luck and pickin names out a * bag. Won't unsettle us as a team and we will go higher and higher

I think Idah is the replacement. But we will definitely buy another striker if Kyogo goes. We probably need 2, 1 would be a loan though.

100% I would have been really happy with signing the two of them
