Sadly I'm quite sure if we don't get him now he'll be out of our range come the next window.

I would be surprised if he is still a Hammarby player come the end of next week.

Players in Sweden are moving on quickly these days and the league is being heavily scouted. At only 18 he has a good physical profile and his numbers are excellent.

I'd like him regardless of who the 3rd striker is

Traore looks excellent and we should be all over it. Him and Kuhn for the right and Maeda and Forrest for the left would be great options.

Palma/Yang can either go or stay around as cover.

    Worth the £5 million imo.

He looks like an unreal talent.

He looks worth it, but our risk averse incumbents will be * themselves at the thought of spending £5m on a 18-year old from Sweden.

Shame really, because he'll probably be out of sight next summer.

Would be astonished if we spend that much on him.

Said it from the moment we were linked, of all the wingers linked he's the one I want. £5m is peanuts for a talent like him. Get it done.

We spend more money taking risks on punts like Tilio, Yang, Palma, Haksabanovic, Kuhn (even though he's starting to look promising). Why not speculate to accumulate that cash on a genuine young talent?

Nah, we scout wingers from obscure leagues doing a cheap imitation of money ball and act surprised when it backfires - shock horror.

Get the MOR money spent on this guy, O’Shea, Engels and Tessman. Easy.

Matt goes taken in £47m since abada left if fees are accurate.

    Spent £13m

Could buy those you mention and still heat the driveway

He has 6 goals and 3 assists in 13 games so far this season. Incredible stats for an 18 year old.

I don't even think it's much of a risky signing, we sign so many punts in the £2-£4 million range, why not pay a little more for someone like this? If he's not near the first team come January we can simply loan him out to another SPFL team for 6 months and there'd still be a massive chance he'll make it here.

    Get the money spent.

As others have rightly pointed out; this is probably the only opportunity to sign a player of this kind of potential.

Hopefully the board / br see it like we do.... Money in the bank.

We do that, we actually come out the window stronger than we went in overall.

    Losing O'Riley will hurt.

I have been wrong on a couple players from the Swedish league, but this guy is very, very special and we should do everything in our power to sign him even if its 5-8 million because he will go in a couple of seasons for 25m+

Probably would need to act now otherwise his value keeps going up and ultimately we get outpriced.

See if we are not willing to pay the £5m we should try negotiate a deal that splits the risk. We will give them £3.5-4m the now add ons based on performance that hits their £5m and a decent sell on % which will likely net them a return that exceeds their initial ask.

I actually think the above works in Hammarby’s favour as they have already done pretty well with sales recently.

He's only been there a few months, can't see 1. Us spending that on an 18 year old who's hardly played any games and 2. If he is thisbgood you hold onto him and get way more.
