Even with the nets to contain their savagery I still don’t want them at Parkhead, under any circumstances. Not having to listen to their hatred and weaponising of child abuse or look on to so many broken seats when they inevitably leave early due to another horsing at our park. Nothing is worth putting up with that, people rabbiting on about a better atmosphere when both fans are represented should be made to bring their children and listen to the scummy huns, they would soon shut up

In an effort to improve safety during the Glasgow Derby, has applied to Glasgow City Council to install temporary netting in the away section at Celtic Park. This decision, driven by Celtic’s determination to enhance security, will also be implemented at Ibrox. The move comes as both clubs prepare to welcome back a larger away fan presence, aiming to restore the traditional derby atmosphere.

Sources close to Celtic have disclosed that the club was the main advocate for this safety measure. The netting is intended to prevent incidents of missile-throwing, a recurring problem in past matches. This measure is particularly vital as the away supporters at Celtic Park will be seated next to the family section, making the netting a necessary barrier to ensure the safety of all fans, especially young families.

The official description of the proposed work submitted to Glasgow City Council states: “Installation of temporary netting to the Southeast corner between the home and away support. The netting is installed before each Celtic vs Rangers match and disassembled after.” The application was lodged on April 4th, reflecting Celtic’s proactive approach to fan safety.

The decision to reinstate a more substantial away fan presence, with 2500 supporters, necessitates stringent safety measures. Celtic’s insistence on the netting demonstrates their commitment to addressing previous safety concerns while reintroducing some of the traditional derby intensity.

The introduction of netting at both stadiums aims to create a safer environment, reducing the risk of violence and disorder. By implementing these measures, Celtic is setting a precedent for ensuring fan safety without compromising the atmosphere that makes the Glasgow Derby one of Scottish football’s most anticipated fixtures.

Approval of this application will mark an important step in ensuring these matches remain frantic and exciting yet safe for everyone involved. A source at GCC has told Celtsarehere that the proposal will more than likely get the green light.

The first Glasgow Derby of next season will be at Celtic Park. The bhoys went undefeated against their rivals last season with three wins and a draw in the league and a Scottish Cup final win to their name.

cant understand why we are bending over backwards to have any number of them tramps back ,rangers are resigned to the history books ,we as a club need to stop pretending that sevco are the same club ,that the game is an ' old firm' and that any special attention should be given to it.if * are throwing * get them out to * dont stick up a net to let on thats normal behaviour just because sky want to pretend they are the same club to sell ads

If I was in the family section right next to those animals, I don't think I'd be going and exposing my children to that.

Sevco need to be told to * off once and for all. We can beat them at their shitpit with no fans. They don't like it. * them.

THERE will be NO away fans at the next two Old Firm derbies.

SunSport can reveal Celtic and Rangers have had another fall-out over derby day tickets.

The SPFL stepped in last season to demand that the two rivals clubs ended their travelling fans feud.

And an agreement was reached to allow a five per-cent away allocation at each venue starting this campaign.

But we understand Celtic have recently written to Rangers insisting they will NOT give away briefs for the Sunday, September 1 clash at Parkhead.

They have made their decision after behind-the-scenes talks with police and Glasgow council chiefs.

It’s believed Celts had spent a six-figure sum on planning for Rangers’ visit next month, with a 2,500 allocation.

But, crucially, they haven’t been convinced that Rangers have done the same for the scheduled January 2 clash at Ibrox.

Gers are currently renting Hampden while development work is taking place at Ibrox.

And they have failed to give Celts the guarantees they’ve asked for to convince them they’ll have the required permissions granted in time

That’s left Celts fearing their fans could be locked out of the second derby of the season - which has seen them tell Gers they won’t allow light blues supporters into their ground.

The stand-off is the latest controversy between the clubs over Old Firm tickets

Broadcasters Sky Sports are unhappy with the dispute and urged the SPFL to intervene last March.

But the clubs are now at loggerheads again

It was shameful of our board to agree to the sevconians getting more tickets than ourselves(5% each which means 3000 fans for them in our 60'000 seat stadium as opposed to the 2500 we'd get for their 50'000 seat decaying relic) in the first place. I personally would be happy to never see any of them at Celtic park ever again. Oh and SKY can go f**k themselves too btw.

Not surprised, they cannot give assurances for where they’ll be playing and what plans are in place. * them, their stadium will be half empty by January and they’ll want us to take a massive allocation.

Honestly don't think it'll make a difference having none of our fans at Hampden either way, terrible stadium and it's no like Ibrox where you notice the lack of fans.
