Kyogo and idah are two entirely different styles of player and brendan will get best out them both. People saying eh spending that amount of money means the end for kyogo.

Wonder if anybody thought the same of Sutton and larsson when we spent £6m on big john hartson or £6m on lenny when we already had thompson, lambert, petrov and lubo doubt it just knew it gave us more options and a stronger squad!

 

And as well, he will be more settled now. Not a loan on the last moment. Now he is here with a fixed long term contract etc. It will do his mind the world of good as well. So i defo am excited!

While I don't expect us to go out and spend 9/10 mill on a player again this window this should be a template of how we do our business going forward.. we like to try before we buy.. loan with option to buy for players in that 8-12 mill bracket..

HITC understands that Celtic have made a big breakthrough in their pursuit of Norwich City forward Adam Idah.

We had reported last week that Celtic were confident they would sign Adam Idah after the forward had made it clear he wanted the move to Glasgow.

Idah has struggled with injury problems throughout his time at Norwich City and the 23-year-old spent a period on loan at Celtic and it appears that the forward is keen on returning to Scotland this summer.

HITC now understands that a breakthrough has been made between the two sides which would see Idah return to Celtic this summer.

Celtic have finally come to an agreement with Norwich over long-term target Idah, HITC sources have confirmed.

HITC revealed last week that Celtic were confident of a deal after making a second offer worth £6 million now they have returned with a third bid worth around £8.5 million.

As mentioned, the Irishman was always keen on returning to Celtic and it now appears a deal has been struck for the 23-year-old to complete his move to the Scottish Premiership champions


Former Celtic player Chris Sutton believes that Celtic need more than just Idah but a deal for the Irishman is now fully agreed


Sutton also claimed that the saga for Idah was dragging on too much but a deal has now been agreed and the Irishman is free to travel to Scotland for a medical

Before a deal for Idah is ratified, the Irishman will need to pass a medical before his move to the Scottish Champions can be completed.

HITC understands that Idah is expected in Scotland within the next 48 hours to undergo his medical before the deal will be officially completed.

Rodgers will now get his man who will be a key addition to the Celtic team this summer as the club look to retain the league title.

 

Glad he’s signing and hopefully the fee shows for the right player we’re willing to spend that type of cash. Hopefully we hear some movement on a left back and centre back soon and have a busy end to the window

 

Money seems a bit hight, great business for Norwich btw, glad we have one in and hopefully snowballs into another couple of starters

Oh had one of the best set of statistics you could imagine. His xG and minutes per goal were miles better than Kyogo.

We all know that he was * mince because we actually watched him with our own eyes. Statistics only tell you part of the story.

 

This is real life, not football manager.

 

This is part that pleases me most.

As much as i think Miovski is a better player, his feelings are an unknown quantity.
Who knows if he'd be a greedy goal merc, or a true tim... Few and far between these days.

Idah has obviously really taken to the club, the team, the manager and the fans... Its great to have him back.

But im not gonna change my mind on the fee. Norwich have well and truly bent us over on this one.
It gives me anxiety, because its a major chunk of cash for Poison Pete to let fly on one player, and i think if Rodgers is willing to spend that amount, it says he has major tactical plans for the front line, it means Kyogo is relegated to 2nd string, something which i dont think he"ll put up with past Christmas.

In short, if we lose Kyogo over a price tag starter... I'll be livid.

Hopefully im wrong, and BR has BOTH in mind for regular starts.

 

BR has already said he want's two first team strikers and a youth player as 3rd.
