You’re never going to hit the club financially. It’s just never going to happen because of the numbers waiting to pounce on anything they can get. On the pitch, we are seeing a level of success we have never seen and have done for over a decade. Fans want to be part of that regardless of the * in suits.

That being said, there are ways to get things across to the board. Unless things are happening in the stands, it’s never going to be put to Rodgers or the club. That’s why fan action is important. Walkouts or banners but consistent banners. Relentless banners.

Unfortunately, that requires a lot of fans to come together and it’s unlikely.

How can any sane supporter even attempt to defend this?

It looks like we are being purposefully managed in to decline.

The potential this club has and has had, the direct refusal to invest from a position of strength.

What shape would we be in now if they backed Rodgers the first time, checked a few of the CVs in the drawer rather than appoint their unprofessional mate, back Rodgers last year when we were drawn in the weakest Champions League group you’ll get? The list goes on. Makes me sick.

For a club of our stature and available resources to have the recent European record we do, and to have the current squad we do, is absolutely * appalling.

 

What the actual * is going on? I mean even for us this is getting absolutely farcical.

Starting to get very worrying and the fear is this could turn ugly very quickly.

Excellent start to the season but if we lose Matt, bring no one else in quickly and then have a bad performance/result the focus is going to be directly on recruitment and lack thereof.

There is very little hiding place for the board this time with record sums of money in the bank and very likely another 25m from Matts sale.

Surely they can’t think what we have is enough? Baffling how we are going about things.

 

Unless a player turns out to be great. Then you can get 3 years out of them and still get an excellent fee when they have 2 years left.

 

Just * off and deflated with how the club operate … they absolutely drain any excitement and positivity out of the season with how they run recruitment … Europe will be an absolute waste of time as it stands.

We’re an injury away from playing Mikey Johnstone upfront or Scales at left back when we’ve got more than 100 million in the bank… let that sink in.

I’ve not seen one convincing argument to defend the board at this point.

 

I prefer when we signed a bunch of projects, compared to this absolute dearth of rumours the past couple of windows, not gonna lie.

Dont even have a back up left back or striker brought in, never mind ones that are of better quality.

 

i cant wait to see these quality signings ,if they ever materialise.they must be something special if we are fannying about all summer waiting for them to make up their minds. it will be a * shame if there is a raft of projects ,christ the name charly musonda keeps popping into my head and the reverance rodgers had for him

 

There must be something going on behind the scenes as to why we are hoarding the money.

2 signings who will make our first team stronger will be in over the next 10 days. It's not easy getting players in. There have been very few signings from all of the top clubs throughout Europe this summer. EPL clubs are currently quiet. Liverpool have not made any signings yet as an example. There is still time to get our business done.

 

I'm full of the COVID mate, maybe that's the answer.
