Transfer windows for us Celtic fans is like when you were young and got all excited about getting Christmas presents for weeks and, then on the big day, wake up to find that all the good stuff you wanted wasn't there and you ended up with stuff you really didn't fancy. You then got the story that the Action Man or Scalextric you really wanted were all sold out and an Oor Wullie book will just have to do. One major difference though, most families couldn't afford good presents as they were skint unlike those families who were just tight as * and couldn't give a flying * about their kids.

 

Funny thing is that we could easily do the transfer business better. Not one single fan on here would bring in James McCarthy, Barkas, Nawrocki i could go on and on. Not one would. But somehow the board manages to WASTE millions upon millions on absolute * who we all knew would bring us nothing. And now they are punishing the fan for their mismanagement. * clowns should be hung or hounded out the club.

Every single move these pathetic * clowns do, they have the huns in their minds. It's no coincidence that as soon as the huns start a rebuild, they just shut the wallet straight away as the only goal they have is to stay slightly ahead of them.

 

Those 3 were pretty much unanimously celebrated when they signed with the possible exception of Nawrocki. But most people were pretty happy with Nawrocki.

 

That is shocking. I dont think i was hating on it, but offering a 5 year deal is pure incompetence.

A 26 man squad for the season needed roughly. The bare minimum is another 5 in the door..

Nawrocki, Lagerbielke, Kobayashi, Bernabei (eventually), Kwon, Shaw, Yang, Mikey all out..

I don’t see us signing one, but failing to bring in an out and out defensive midfielder will once again be part of our downfall in Europe. Absolutely screaming out for one. Along with a centre half and left back. If we signed those 3 positions and Idah, I’d be fairly happy at that.

This is the bare minimum and we could easily do this in 48hrs.

We won't do it though over the next few weeks though.

 

Fascinated to know who specifically negotiates the fee and who negotiates the salary with the players.

 

I do agree that should be close to how our squad should look like come September. Two of the new signings must be SFA trained players to meet the UEFA criteria. McKenna and Shankland is the obvious choices, unless there is other SFA trained players out there who's within our price range and can fight for a spot in our starting XI?

 

My guess would be Peter Lawell and Peter Lawell

This was what I feared with Rodgers coming back… another * summer window and being left without the tools to do the job he wants.

I don’t know why Desmond bothered to fly down and beg, Rodgers should have slapped him while he had the chance and kicked him out of his villa.

 

Therein lies an issue.

We consider rangers as our main opponent
We consider the Scottish domestic scene as the only thing that matters

Our real opponents, competitively and who will make us better, are in Europe. And right now we are the whipping boys of the league there.

Build a squad capable of being respected again in Europe, the league will take care of it self.
