It was on Sterling and he actually has his hand on Taylor’s back pushing him before he gets cleared out by Scales.

The thing that annoyed me is the last three games they have had 4 or 5 players get away with clear bookings early in the game but then first foul that is remotely a booking for us is given as one. That Diomande could pull a knife out on someone it seems and get away with it. Yesterday he twice kicked out at players once off the ball at a freekick and the second was a wild kick to the stomach of Maeda after failing with his initial challenge.

Raskin, Sterling, Cantwell, and Dessers all just got a warning for multiple clear bookings. Sima just kicks out at Johnston off the ball only gets booked. The Davies handball is harsh on the player but it’s a penalty by current laws and how they have been applied for the team committing the offence all season. The ball is going to Forrest 8 yards out in the middle of the goal if it doesn’t hit his outstretched arm.

I would always counter argue Sterling was fouling Taylor at the time of the scales push and Sterling like other derby games is an absolute foul merchant

I thought they were outright *. 2 penalties we should have had, neither called to the monitor, numerous kick outs from them. Then a few bad decisions went against them such as Scales pushing and the Sterling booking. Although Sterling should have been booked earlier. Walsh was afraid to make big calls on the pitch.

I'm wondering if that's why it wasn't given, he's fouling and then he gets fouled, so let's call it quits.

Won't be a popular opinion :fear:...

The cup final and last 2-3 months of season shows absolute rank and gross incompetence and lack of consistency from our referees rather than bias.
Yes we got some bad ones against but also a few went our way.

By definition there can't be a conspiracy against both teams.

Both sets of fans are going tonto across multiple individual decisions rather than focussing on very poor performances by both teams tbh, especially possibly the lowest quality cup final in living memory.
It's a lot easier to blame others and look at individual moments to explain an outcome rather than looking at your own failings over the course of a game or season.

Either way, we can make refereeing mistakes (honest or otherwise) an irrelevance if we make the right investments and recruitment decisions this summer.

The difference is that things that went against them couldn't be called to VAR. The penalties, red card offences that went their way could. When a VAR ref ignores it then yeah I think it's dodgy.

This may sound a bit strange but bear with…..
I honestly believe that VAR helped us win the double this season.
In my humble opinion, when we were cheated at Tynecastle with the award of a penalty against Iwata and Yang’s sending off that was the spark Brendan needed. I’m positive that’s when we came together as a team and fans. Brendan would have been telling the players we were being cheated etc etc and unless we upped our game we were done. The siege mentality kicked in the aftermath of that game, starting with Brendan calling them out for being cheating scum.
So thanks to those cheating * at the SFA we got together, team and fans united as one for the final push. Hail Hail

Has the penalty shout been given as an offside maybe?

They didn't think it needed a review for a pen, so didn't look at the offside.

If this weekend has set the bar for penalties surely the rangurz won't be getting their customary 15 this season. Right?

That was a pen in any league at any time, he controls the ball and will get on it before being cleaned out.

Doesn’t matter that the keeper has nowhere to go or didn’t intent to do it, he did so the only possible outcome is penalty.

That * Robertson let Killie kick the * out of us all game, every single time they would go through our players once the ball was gone. Their whole midfield could of walked with the amount of fouls gone unpunished.

Most shocking penalty i've ever seen not given, I thought it must have been offside.
