    Stop buying Champions league packages.

If board don't give a * about competing in it why should the fans?

To be fair we could go spend 50m plus and still finish last.

But we need better structure and more accountability.

The worry for me is that the deals we know about that should be concluded already are not done, which leaves us quite a bit to do in a short space of time.

We need people at board room level with ambition.

It's why managers like Ange and Rodgers don't hang around.

Both of them wanted to progress the club and be more competitive in europe. Nobody talking about winning it but competing with teams in and around us and pushing for 3rd place while aiming for 2nd was their ambition but board just want the money for being there and don't give a *. Only need to look at our record in knockout goes since that fat * lawwell was appointed 20 years ago to see it

We could but we could also qualify.

Setting up the way we are at the moment isn't even pretending that we are there to do anything other than turn up get paid and lose. It will only change if fans stop buying tickets for the champions league. It feels like there is very little magic left in champions league games when you know the club is happy to line up with Scales, Taylor, Forest, etc and just cash the cheque.

We were teased with Brendan first time round and again with Ange that we would kick on and start 'progressing' in Europe. We can all argue with what that looks like but for this argument sake we call it 'competitive'. To a certain degree also when Brendan returned talking about adding pace and power to the players we had playing Angeball but it didnt happen.

Its why i bring up structure and accountability. Whos fault was that? I find it hard to believe it rests soley in the scouting dept.

I'm not saying he would have turned it down, I'm saying he doesn't actively seek out the job in the first place.

His agent went to work to get his name in their list, because he actively wanted out of Celtic because of lawwell.

Lawwell doesn't come back, Ange doesn't instruct his agent to find him a new gig, Spurs likely never come calling.

Not for one minute think he would absolutely reject spurs for us if they came calling, but I'm questioning why they came calling - because hi agent was putting his name out there.

Not even Ange and Rodgers, Lennon left first time around stating he had taken the club as far as he could without being backed further.

WGS was told to cut costs and reign it in, I'm not his biggest fan, but he done amazingly well to get us to the last 16 twice, whilst all the while things clearly were being downgraded around him.

I'm still asking the question, why is Rodgers back. He must know he's not getting hacked the way he and the fans expect he should be backed and could be backed. Not by this shower of * in charge.

This is a board that, by their own admission, didn’t even look at other applicants after Rodgers left the first time. I believe they were arrogant enough to say that they were punted in a drawer.

Nothing surprises me. I thought the Ange stint was the start of us modernising and become proactive, but really it was just an anomaly. We’re not capable of multi-tasking at board level, clearly.

Unfortunately the board always looking what the zombies are doing and they are a train wreck at the moment so there's no urgency from the board .
If the zombies had spent 25 million in the transfer Market would we be in this postion with no new outfield players signed yet I don't think so as their only aim is to be a step ahead of them and they don't give a * about Europe.

I don’t think he was actively looking for a new gig. I think Spurs brought in an Australian sporting director who was extremely fond of Ange and had seen the levels of success he had and it ultimately went from there.

There is no evidence to suggest that he asked his agent to find him a new job.

Clearly I'll never be able to provide any evidence of such a thing, but I stand by my thinking on it.
Lawwell came back and things changed for him.
More so after that infamous meeting where he apparently got promised barrowfield improvements, £30m and other things.

Think barrowfield I the only thing that has eventually been put in to action after that.

I honestly believe he saw what was coming with lawwell back and he made his mind up then to leave.

In the last winter transfer window this was the patter from BR.

"We approached some clubs about their players and the players were interested but the clubs didn't want to sell in January.. We tried I promise!"

I wonder what happened to these 'targets', if the players were that interested you would have thought one or two would've been wrapped up by now.

Even if 50,000 season ticket holders didn’t pick up the option to buy their CL packages, 50,000 others would. The board know it, we know it and the reality is they couldn’t care less about the fans as long as the money is rolling in.

    Somebody else did though.

That’s the thing about this club, as a support we are too big and too loyal for our own good.

There will always be someone there to buy that ticket.

    This.

There's about a 10-15k waiting list for the standing section alone season ticket wise too. Maybe more I'm probably underselling that.

The idea of boycotts etc aye, have heard it be suggested plenty of times. But it's just that. An idea. Would never happen.
