You can only post pictures that are under 1MB mate, if you can resize your pics to under 1mb you'll be able to post them.

I've waited a wee while before posting this because I was afriad it was a one-off, but to my delight ,it's not. For the last week or so, I've been sitting reading in my back garden. The amount of Swallows and Housemartins flying above my house has been SUPERB. I've not seen this many for a few years now. Only seen a couple of Swifts but the Swallows and Housemartins more than make up for it.

My Anxiety has been through the roof of late, especially today, but after i did my lawn, plenty of wild grass and wild flowers left a lone of course i was really cheered up by a female Sparrowhawk and a female Peregrine having a friendly spar in the sky above.
Also some cool biggish Wolf Spiders have several nests in the main wild grass/ flowers section with countless wee young. Ruby Roo loves when i am in the garden, bless her.

A few from Lough Gill and Balisodare at the weekend, things are quiet at the moment but it's still nice to just sit and wait and see what turns up :50:

The last pic is a Buzzard with a kill in it's Talons,i can't make out what it is as the bird was high in the sky, but it looks like a leg, or what's left of one.

Thanks Bhoys :50:, Pete, i've tried to enhance the pics to bring out some detail but as the bird was so high and far away, a lot of the detail is lost, enlarging the pic just shows the amount of loss, i've posted a pic to show just how high the bird was,Hope the images help Pete, it's just a pity it wasn't a bit lower.
P.S. the enhanced pics are feckin atrocious.:38:

It's not a Sparrowhawk Johnie. It is a Buzzard but as Pete says, ''Is it Honey Buzzard?"

Wish I had managed to capture the pod of dolphins the other day. They went down past Millport to Helensburgh and it was such a sight :100: I got a picture of my chum the Seal which I will post later. We're seeing a lot of marine life in our waters of late.

A few from Colgagh on Sunday morning, another very quiet outing, these two birds were all that were to be seen, but it was for once a beautiful calm mild morning, so that took the sting out of the wait for some action.

Cheers Johnie, yes raptors can look so different at times. Funny the photo of it really high up looks more hawk like and the closer blurred photos more Buzzard like. Having looked at it again i now think it is indeed a female Sparrowhawk.

Think I had a near birding break down on these photos Johnie :84:But yes a female Sparrowhawk it is.

Yes in the field even with good views birds of prey can fool anyone in different light or at distance or strange angles.

We got there in the end:50:
