Like that from Rodgers. Telling it how it is. We as fans are always guilty at times of questioning why a manager isn’t selecting a player, but it won’t just be for the sake of it. It will more often than not be because the player just doesn’t deserve to be starting games. Rodgers has put the gauntlet down to Holm. If he has the right attitude, he will use his words as a catalyst to kick on.

Love that message about working hard off the ball. Nothing wrong with setting a standard you expect young players to meet.

Nothing wrong with that at all..

    Quite refreshing actually..

Basically we rate you but we want more if you're to kick on and make it..

Outstanding stuff there. Laying down the gauntlet to see if they've got the balls to grab it. Superb Brendan.

I'm pretty sure that's the 2nd time he's called him out.

Think he needs a loan. Hibs or Aberdeen. Maybe the latter with a Scandinavian gaffer now who will play a decent style.

Good stuff from BR, I like Holm and Lawal, hope they take it on board and keep pushing for a 1st team spot and not just spit the dummy cos of a wee bit of critique like some might.

Balls in his court now, kens the score. Knuckle down and he has a chance.
I do like him, there was a game last season against the huns and he came on and got stuck right into they *, something we are severely lacking is that bite in midfield.
Just hope he takes it onboard, would expect him and Lawal to see some gametime this season.

    Fair play to Rodgers again.

Much like the Vata and Kelly contract and game time thing, this is very refreshing to see and hear from him.

We know now what these two are expected to do to get in the team. We now know that they aren't (likely) counted as part of the 6 for the midfield, if he didn't think they are ready for it, yet.

There’s no point him stagnating for another season here occasionally making squads but for the large part watching from the stands. He needs a loan, even if it’s one where we have the option to take him back in January if he does particularly well.

Aberdeen would be a good move for him but they hate him after that instagram post start of last season :giggle1:. They also have the boy Clarkson who is quite similar so probably a non-starter.

The talent is clearly there it’s just getting regular minutes, and clearly going by Rodgers comments he needs to be working harder both on and off the pitch.

If we loan him out I'd be looking at St mirren, Aberdeen, or killie. Fair dos Aberdeen have been * recently but have high expectations for thellin plus the Scandinavian factor might help him

Nothing we didn't know already. The ball is in Holm's court to show why he should be at Celtic. If not he'll be moved on.

Get him loaned out pronto. Could be some player but I get the feeling he won’t be given much game time here this season.

Aberdeen fans seem to think they're above our loans, they throw a fit every time it's even suggested now. They probably could have done with a few last season :giggle1:.

St Mirren was great for Kwon (and he was great for them), wouldn't mind seeing Holm make a similar (maybe even the same) move.

Want to see him at an attacking side or quick counter attacking side who play on the deck..

The sheep would be a perfect type. He's got the talent, we can see that but no the consistency or the workrate (in Rodgers own words)..

Think he's nailed on to go on loan. The sheep or maybe a Dundee United if they're coming up and pushing for top 6/European places. Even Dundee who played a good style of football and had ball winners and real energy in the midfield last season..

Holm was a fair weather player in Vålerenga and by the sound of it nothing have changed. He might change his mentality around to become a useful player for us, but I don't expect a radical change from him tbh. A loan is necessary and I wouldn't be totally against a sale if we could recoup the money paid for him.

Good comments from Rodgers but as Holm has been here a year and barely featured 2nd half of last season I suspect it's not the 1st time he's heard these comments.

The fact Rodgers is now saying them publicly suggests Holm's not took heed of the comments and is ruining out of chances to change Rodgers mind.

To be honest that social media post last season might say a lot about his character before he deleted it. Don't think we should waste any time with boys like this. If Rodgers is having to come out a couple of times publicly to give him a kick up the * then I don't think we should waste any more time on him.
Will be one of those players that could of done so much more with his potential but just didn't quite have the right attitude.
I could be talking pish but I wouldn't be bothered if he left tomorrow
