Be good to see what he can and hope he gets his chance. But I hope we are not already relying on him which we done last season with the younger players. Let this boy force his way into the team. It's what the likes of McGregor did.

I understand it was only Ayr United but I do expect him to have a bit of a breakthrough season this year. If he won't get game time it's essential he goes on loan either to a top 6 SPFL team or Championship/League One.

Wonderif St Mirren would take him if Kwon isn't going back there on loan. That would be an ideal loan for him I think.

He's 21 he should be knocking on the door for a first tea, place if he's good enough. I'd rather he stays and be given a chance to prove his worth. Teams like Ajax have no problem blooding their own young players instead having to send them all on loan.

For me based on his performances for Fleetwood he has enough to stay here and play domestic games and be a good rotation option. When we are at home to the majority of the league or away to bottom six teams. If he does well then he can then push for a regular start.

The above is what happened with Wanyama, Ajer and Frimpong. None of them were signed to be first team ready Ajer had a loan but Frimpong and Wanyama were given games and they stood out and played so well they couldn’t be dropped. It’s up to Lawal to do the same.

Don’t get me wrong I am not saying he should be a starter at the moment for games vs them or CL but against most of the rest he should be able to start or get a good half an hour. We definitely need reinforcements in the midfield too, especially if O’Riley moves on, which it seems like it’s a matter of time.

Were you convinced by McGregor after half a game?

We’ve been lacking a bit of pace and power in midfield.

I get the opposition needs to be taken into consideration but he done himself no harm whatsoever. I look forward to seeing more of him and would love to see him get a new contract tied up asap. Teams will be starting to take notice and he has less than a year on his contract I’m sure.

My guess is he will be a part of our squad next season. McGregor, Hatate, New CM, Lawal, Iwata, New DM

I think the question has to be, is he showing enough to say he will be a nailed on starter in a year. If that is yes, then get him the team now and let’s see how he develops. There comes a point when you have to put your trust in a player if you think he is going to make it. Lawal has all the physical attributes required, that’s for sure. He definitely looks to have improved very well with the ball too. He is now 21, so isn’t a kid either. I would actually be happy if we give him the opportunity to nail down a place in all honesty. Because he is an absolute monster in physique, and that is something we lack big time.

I'd loan Holm out but keep Lawal around the matchday squads and try and get him minutes.

I hope we don’t just keep him for the bench etc.

The boy needs to be playing, time and time again we have ruined players by not giving them first team football or loaning them out for first team football.

Rodgers is famed for developing young players yet I'm struggling to think of any youngster he's given a chnace and developed into a 1st team player over his 2 spells here.
It's time He lived up to his reputation. Lawal will develop far more playing here than being sent to a St Mirren or Kilmarnock.

I'd rather give him time than Kwon.

He has the attributes I want brought into the side so better to focus on him, for me. At 21 there's no reason he can't make an impact now and he's off the back of a good season down south.

He reminds me of VVD the way he powers up the park with folk bouncing off him. Really hope he gets a chance to see if he can step up.
