Bit more like it with the news..

Will get better for us with better players around him, particularly in a fully functioning side with a quality right winger, overlapping left back etc..

It makes sense. He done a lot of damage for us when we needed it..

You think we decide to pop a we bid in today after doing nothing? There discussions for weeks before an official bid is placed. Only when it's made clear they are willing to sell, have a price and a player willing to go does an official bid get put in

Celtic have had an offer of £4million plus add-ons for Adam Idah REJECTED, Football Scotland can reveal.

It has already been reported today that the Hoops had made their move for their former loanee by approaching Norwich City. And Football Scotland understands the offer they put on the table was for an initial £4m with potential further incentives in the form of add-ons.

But the Canaries have knocked that back as they actively do NOT want to sell the 23-year-old striker. It's understood the English Championship side feel that in order to replace Idah they would need a lot more than £4m because of his status - still young but already proven and a Republic of Ireland international.

Their new manager Johannes Hoff Thorup is excited to work with the player after his productive spell north of the border. It's not known if Celtic plan to return with an improved offer as there isn't a fee Norwich would set as an asking price because they are so keen to keep him on their books.

Brendan Rodgers has been determined to be reunited with Idah, along with fellow loanee from last season Paulo Bernardo, but may have to go back to the drawing board if the Canaries continue to stand firm. The player himself has been coy on his future but has dropped subtle hints he may be up for the move.

His loan signing in January was met with huge scepticism but he proved the doubters wrong by scoring huge goals to help in winning the title before firing in a winner against Rangers in the Scottish Cup final

Plus, he will be giving his all for us and we know how to play to his strengths.

Great signing all round when we finally get it over the line.

I did say I had a feeling we wouldn't get both Bernardo and Idah, and it would be one or the other. Pretty okay with it if the option is Idah.

Its likely a load of nonsense as its Football Scotland, but id be mortified if we offered £4 million after a month of negotiating.

Again, football Scotland so take it with a pinch of salt.

If true then it's a * brass neck.

Fannied about for a month before eventually putting in an offer and then we low ball them. It's classic Celtic.

Won’t buy into us lowballing them but also wouldn’t be surprised. Personally I’d just be happy if the rumour of us wanting him is true. Think he was fantastic for us and he will improve too.

How can anyone be surprised by lowball offers, it's exactly how we operate.
Bit like bargain hunt, big Peter goes in with 'what's the death on this Norwich?'

More often we lose out (if their is any competition) but sometimes get the win (if we are only player), let's see how this one plays out....
