I was thinking the Georgia keeper looked good. He signed for Valencia for €850,000 a few seasons back. Transfermarkt rate him at €35m.

Just another sad indictment of our performance at the Euros. The difference in approach from Georgia in a game they needed to win vs ours is night and day.

That performance was similar to when Greece went all the way. I don't expect them to do it, but they fought for each other the whole game.

Georgia highlighting that Scotlands failures at tournaments are purely our own doing.

None of this small nation pish.

Scotland's average NT player is better than Georgia's, no doubt. Albeit Georgia has a player that can terrorise defences by himself.

The contrast in attitude was stark, Georgia wanted to have a go and be positive. Scotland went out to Germany with a negative attitude which choked us before a whistle was even blown.

Clarke has a lot to answer for.

In todays game of primadonna clowns willingness together with semi-decent coachning wins you games regardless of size of nation or funds. Shame teams like Scotland and my nation Sweden have neither

England's route to the final is now:

    Last 16: Slovakia
    QF: Italy/Switzerland

Which, even after chucking pints at the manager and being in complete meltdown for the last week about how * they are, the entire country now thinks they’re winning it again.

    They are * mental cases.

That bracket gives me the fear that the Brit * will get to the final, that and a sort of bizarre reverse psychology because they've been pish so far they'll somehow either start motoring or scrape their way through and go all the way as opposed to their usual arrogance then either bottling it or being outclassed. Usually love them getting as far as possible and allowing their confidence to build the further they get so their pain is even greater, just want them pumped out ASAP this time though.

Looks like it’s going to be a Germany v Italy final.

Would be brilliant if Romania, Germany, Italy and Austria all got to the semi finals.
English press would have a field day saying the Axis countries have succeeded were the Allies have failed. :84:

Got to be the softest side of a draw in recent memory? Netherlands, Italy and England all struggled through, none look even close to good enough to win it as it stands. Best team in that half of the draw has been Austria.
