As CEO, this falls on him for not having the correct structure underneath him.

 

* got a lot of credit seemingly now off the back of Ange's hard work and proactive approach. he needs to pull his finger out and earn his * money!!

 

See the term run all over him is what it sounds like he lets any authoritative figure do. His Ange comments at the AGM showed that. The only reason he ever got credit was because he let Ange do what he seen fit.

Returning Celtic chief Michael Nicholson has been elected to the SPFL board – replacing departing James Bisgrove after his shock Rangers exit.

It's a process – dubbed by supporters as boardroom musical chairs – and it sees Celtic and Rangers decision makers swap in and out on a yearly basis to take a seat on the top table at the league's office at Hampden. And now the seven faces who will join SPFL supremo Neil Doncaster, chairman Murdoch MacLennan and independent non-executive director Karyn McCluskey has been named.


Nicholson (Celtic), Malcolm McPherson (Hibernian), James MacDonald (Ross County) represent the Scottish Premiership with Paul Hetherington (Airdrieonians), Graeme Mathie (Ayr United) for the Championship and League One and Two being served by Andrew Allan (Alloa Athletic) plus alternate director – Allan Maitland (Clyde FC)


And the future of concussion substitutes is on the agenda for the new board to address. A league statement read: "At the meeting clubs also voted [unanimously] to approve a recommendation from the Competitions Working Group that the new protocol in the IFAB Laws of the Game permitting permanent concussion substitutes is used across all senior SPFL competitions


"Each team will be allowed one concussion substitute per match in addition to the normal number of substitutes and substitution opportunities. If that concussion substitute is used, the other team is allowed an additional substitute. This follows a trial of permanent concussion substitutes in the SPFL, which first launched in March 2021.

Up to now He hasn't done anything significant or even sent out a video message to the supporters on what the Club strategy is for the season ahead like what most football clubs do, He seems to be a yes man to Lawwell and the rest of the Dinosaurs on the Board and doesn't look like the type who would challenge them if He disagreed with anything they say or propose.

 

Not to defend him in any sense at all because I think the overall communication between the club and the fan base is beyond pathetic but what other CEOs in football, from around the world, update their fans on club strategy etc? Not saying it doesn't happen but I haven't seen anything even remotely like that, over the course of the last few years?

Oh aye, the guy we all thought was a breath of fresh air, was going out and getting deals done pronto, then disappeared off the map after Desmond snuck Lawell in the back door.

Can't fault the guy, like everyone else at board level, they do what they're told, or Desmond hands them their jotters.

 

Stand up to them, he is them.

He's just another in the long line of merry to round dancers in our board room.

McKay started the whole fan engagement stuff, was it ever done again after he was booted?
Seemingly josip and Giakoumakis has low buy out fees, something else rumoured not to have been liked by the rest of the club.

Low and behold, two of the things that we appreciated as fans and a club. Engagement and good quality players at an experienced age and level to walk straight in to the side.

Nicholson is just another in a line of absolute * running the club. Zero ambition, zero responsibility taken, zero fan engagement, zero * anything positive from him and the rest.
