I do think we'll do the business this summer, whether that's down to blind optimism or the fact Rodgers will 100% walk again if not, I've no idea. I was expecting/hoping we'd have at least 1 spot tied down before the end of June, but far too early to get worried yet imo.

I think it's clear we'll get a GK, CB and ST, and I think CM once we know what's happening with O'Riley (although I hope we go for two if we don't sign Bernardo).

I am slightly worried at the lack of LB and Winger links, think we've been linked to one LB so far and no wingers and the LB link was a clear no-go. Could be the January window before bringing another winger in unless we punt both Kuhn and Yang, but hopefully we start seeing some links soon (Ideally not from Turkey)

 

We need some statement signings this summer that instantly improve the team. I’m hoping we’ve got a few tied up and are waiting from players to get back from holidays/tournaments and that’s the hold up.

Needless to say, the board need to impress this summer. The last few windows have been absolutely miles off it.

 

GK, Lb, CB, Cm, St

Five positions, spend the crux of 25-30m on those 5. Wages akin to what CCV would be on, that's the level we need.

Get rid of the absolute pointless deadwood at the club, Tilio, Kwon, McCarthy, kobi, Seigrist, to name a few.
And then I'll allow 2-3 project signings that lawwell wants to play FM at.

Anything short of those 5 at that level of spending, is simply not good enough.

Has that fee been confirmed?

 

I had seen someone yesterday on X suggesting it was about 2m euros. I haven't seen anything since and just putting two and two together, maybe getting 5. Especially as we were asking for around £2m.

Getting him off the wage bill was the most important thing but I'd imagine we are getting a 7 figure fee of some sort.
