Because everytime we release a * screamer of a 3rd kit, we never * wear it except one game at Easter Road. That we usually draw or something.

Strips like that one reminds me of * like Chilavert and gets me nostalgic but.

Apparently he's quitting international football because he can't be arsed to travel anymore.

Great goalscorer but a bit of a * I think.

Not seen anything about him quitting internationally but verging on 30, not first choice, the other side of the world and anything ye see about his priorities being his family and time with them - that’s not a * for me, just a talented good player who has priorities outwith football.

*, if McGregor had to say that’s me for Scotland now after the Euro’s, even as a Scotland fan… I’d be delighted. When Broony came out international retirement after calling it a day I was like * sake, focus on us and the time off, and the recovery.

On another note, his record 29 in 33 for Venlo domestically for a shocking team that got relegated… in the Dutch league.

How the * did we get him for £2m odd? He had time left on his contract as well and I’m sure it wasn’t a relegation clause. Such a weird deal that.

All standard stuff to justify his move and appease the fans.

He can hardly say I'm here for the money after taking a step down to a team I've never heard of before. :giggle1:

Meanwhile, Giorgos Giakoumakis is developing a pattern of slamming the league he's just moved on from. The Greek striker has left Atlanta Utd for Cruz Azul in Mexico - a move which netted the Premiership champions around £900,000 thanks to a sell-on clause.

But, just as he did with the Scottish top flight after departing, Giakoumakis has taken a swipe at MLS and the culture in which he claims losing is sometimes accepted. He said: “I was really excited; I really wanted to make it happen, and Cruz Azul showed me how much they wanted me, and that was a crucial factor for me to make my decision. Cruz Azul, for me, is a team that I think is a level higher than MLS. It is a team that is chasing records, chasing trophies and they try to win always, every single trophy. I love to work and play for these teams because the expectations are high, the motivation has to be always there and it’s not okay to lose. Sometimes, that’s a bad thing in the MLS. It’s okay to lose some games, and I hate it.”

That is not what GG was referring to, rather in the MLS (and same in MLB, NFL, NBA etc) where, because there is no relegation some teams do drop right off and coast at the end of the season, some even want to lose and finish with as low/bad a record as possible, and in so doing sacrificing short term in the hopes as it helps them during the offseason when it comes to recruiting etc for the next. Blaming it on drafts is not accurate and they don't effect every sport elsewhere like this, but in the US marketplace sadly, it is that way.

PS- I don't think Atlanta were ever in that situation, however, GG would've played against teams that undoubtedly were.

If he was good as he thinks he is... he wouldn't be plying his trade in Mexico.
