Kane is an incredible striker and probably the best in the world in that position, if not then certainly in the top 3. Haaland gets the same criticism of not doing it in the big games. But who else is there putting up those numbers season after season?

Kane, Lewandowksi and Benzema have been the best strikers in the world (outside of Ronaldo) over the last decade. His record in England, Germany and international football is unbelievable. Plus he’s a fantastic all round footballer.

 

Yeah I'm a Croatia supporter & knew immediately the lack of pace in that starting XI was insane.

Outwith Friday night one of the first games I've been able to watch start to finish here and this first half has actually been enjoyable..

Romanian atmosphere electric and both sides going for it..

Ukraine * up in the final third and their keeper has been rank rotten..

 

Romania are far better team, look far superior on the ball,Ukraine started ok but fell away badly.

Southgate is undoubtedly a big problem for England. However, he is also getting them to the latter stages in tournaments more often than any other manager certainly in my lifetime. So although I do think he is holding them back, they’ve had better managers in the past and better teams in the past and not done as well. Kane very rarely shows up in the big crunch games for them in my opinion. He is a world class finisher, absolutely no doubt about that. A world class all round number 9? Not for me. Because the absolute best will produce on the biggest of stages in the biggest games. I don’t think he does that.

 

Good strike, but the keeper should have saved that. He misjudged it.

 

The very best will do it in huge games and produce huge moments. Harry Kane hasn’t really done that at International level.
