Two short ones that he missed is down to pure pressure. The fact he hasn’t won a major in a decade will have definitely been in his mind I think. Cannot be downplayed just how good a bunker shot that was from Bryson at the last. Anyone who plays golf will know how hard a shot that is. It’s probably the hardest in golf from that distance. Glad he won it, and after that shot, he deserved it.

 

DeChambeau's mentality dwarfs McIlroy's. The amount of times he saved par after only hitting 4 fairways all day is insane.

Read that someone vandalised one of the greens on the Troon course just before the open is ready to start. What kind of * do you have to be to even think about trying that.

 

Who ever did that should be horse whipped, what a horrible or horrible so called human beings.

Fantastic from Bob again, last years Scottish open and the Ryder cup really kicked his game and mental strength up a few gears. Brilliant to see.

Got an almighty fortunate break at 16. Ball buried in the cabbage, felt a sprinkler head with his spikes, free drop then sticks to 7ft to make eagle. Take the breaks when they come, and he took full advantage. Loved his interview after it as well. Basically saying he was away to get blitzed and rock up at Troon still rough as a badgers with no * given.

 

Well Bob MacIntyre is my hot tip to win the Open, well he would be i did a Spain to win the Euros and him to win the Open double. So the money will flood in for me if we get out first home winner in 25 years. Come on Bob!!!!!

As a cover bet i have a fine win only bet on Rory McIlroy, my * he is over due a major

Heads up folks, the traffic at Monkton Roundabout this morning at 7.45am was a nightmare with plenty of snorkies about causing havoc already! Just wait till actual championship days!

Buzzing for this weekends golf. Seeing the worlds best all competing seems like a novelty now with the whole LIV/PGA divide. Seeing them do it in the toughest conditions on the links of Scotland makes it all the more interesting.

 

Had macintyre last week, but don't see a repeat.

Doing 3 ways, DeChambeau, Fleetwood and Lowry.

 

I’ve lumped on Morikawa and taken Noren as an outsider. Was tempted by Fleetwood too.

Fancy Lowry’s chances too; I just tend not to stick money on guy’s I’ll support anyway. Saves double the heartbreak if they come close, but ultimately fail.

Would love to see Rory, Lowry or BobMac get the job done.

Bob played well today, just a couple of putting errors , he will get better and better on this course. I expect him to be fighting hard for this title on Sunday.

 

At the moment only one hole is playing under par, the 16th. And conditions getting worse.
