Have to agree with this. I would much rather sign a player who is very much in the ascendancy in the champ than an out of favour 4th choice Bournemouth cb.

 

Did he play with CCV at Bournemouth? Only positive I can see is if they have a pre-existing partnership and will work well together.

 

I'd take him, but not for even close to £8m.

 

I am happy that we are looking at players 27-29 years old. We have been screaming for that experience for years now. Players at that age is those who can handle the preassure of european games. Not seen this guy though, so i cant comment on his qualities.

Hopefully that's the thinking here if the link is genuine. FWIW I've always thought he was a solid defender but not the type we'd for for i.e. not a ball player or high line kind of defender but an old school centre half.

We could do worse, but admittedly Clarke-Salter seems a better prospect.

 

Looks pretty alright tbh but would rather Clarke-Salter much like everyone else, with McKenna in also... or Mepham instead of Mckenna..(well a bhoy can dream can't he?)

Reckon we could get better on the continent for that sort of price. CCV is the experienced head, would like a quick, powerful CB (black and French ideally) to partner him.

They’ve just signed 2 centre backs. Boy from Juventus and close to signing the boy from Barca. Lost Lloyd Kelly in the summer so maybe the deal been in limbo until they replaced both Kelly and Mepham.
