John, I do actually have a you tube account I use it to keep a play list of old Celtic and other matches I like to watch. Let me try and take a video with my mobile and upload it there and then see if I can get it up on here.

Johnie, Ok I have a 30 second clip uploaded on my you tube from standing out front of my house and the incessant droning noise the cicadas make.

Walking past a front garden on my housing estate late this morning i noticed a very tame Herring gull on the lawn right nest to a man sorting out his van. Got talking to him and he tells me the pair of Herring gulls that nest nearby sun bathe with their cat and sit next to the family. They call them Steven and Van Damme and enjoy watching them bring up their family each year. Fantastic:49:

Saw my first Swift of the year this morning. And sitting in a car park next to the Royal Infirmary waiting for my wife to come out, I was entertained by two Goldfinch looking for lunch. Superb way to pass a half hour.

I was always interested in nature although I might have taken it for granted. All I have to do now is listen out my window and I hear all types of birds and voices from nearby school. But its amazing to think that there's always something going on outside my own little world, and i appreciate how it can help us to enjoy our day.

There is something very very special about birdsong, it is fantastic and also really really good for our mental health. Having your window open first thing in the morning and taking in the dawn chorus is great, as walking around a city or town park, in your own garden or in the countryside. Walking around all sorts of different woodland is great as well as all sorts of countryside. Whether you live in a built up are or not nature can still be enjoyed:50:

Yes absolutely! One of my walks is by the river which leads into town, such a peaceful journey and its nice to notice whats around me. Theres a nice park near me also. I must say also, we drove to Glasgow at the beginning of this month, through Lancaster and when we reached Scotland I saw a view that I wont forget, the hills and mountains were something else and i played some particular tunes on the road. Cheers CM, hope you can enjoy some nice walks this morning:50:

There's nothing better than spending some time listening to Birdsong. I've been doing it for as long as I can rremember. It's one of life's greatest treasures. The world would be a much better place if more people did it.

A few from Saturday morning at Hazelwood, i've been trying for a long time to get a half decent shot of a Jay, this beauty landed just where i hoped it would, i had left out a few Peanuts on a tree stump in a clearing in the woods for a few days previous, it didn't take too long for him to appear, have his fill, and disappear back into the forest, i left the woods after a while and made my way down to lough Gill a few hundred yards away and got another few shots in before my belly told me to go home for a good cooked Breakfast.:50:

Brilliant pics Johnie. I'm quite jealous because as a birdwatcher for many years, I've never seen a Jay. We've searched all over known Jay hotspots for years and never had any luck. I don't get out as much as I used to now but I'll keep on trying.
    Love the Tern pic Johnie
