    This is a great idea, we cannot stand back and let them behave in this way anymore, everyone in the media and at ibrox know this song exsists but they are not going to do anything else to alienate the knuckledraggers unless we show that we are unhappy about this racist bile. i have already emailed the sfa regarding this song at the end of last year but i think the more people who are aware of it the better so i will back this 100%...and to anybody who thinks this is just because we got beat yesterday needs to look at the bigger picture of life, this isnt sour grapes this is about standing up for yourself against a narrow minded section of society who think they are in some way better than you because of your beliefs/religion/race.

    To be honest doing things like this probably makes them want to sing it more. It shows them its effecting you and you dont like it so therefore they will sing. Your emails will not do * all.

    just sent the following email off to all the listed sites;

    Dear sir/madam
    Having attended the recent Celtic Rangers match (31/8/2008). I am writing to ask if you will be taking any actions against the Rangers supporters who once again ruined my enjoyment of a football match with their vile chants. I have listed below the actions that I wish to bring to your attention;
    1 The singing of, "the famine is over go home" a song with obvious racist meaning as it is directed at Irish people and is telling them to leave Scotland.
    2 The singing of, "their's only one gary glitter" given what this man has done i found this deepley offensive.
    3 The singing of, "big jock knew" a song that imply's the greatest manager in the history of our club was invoved in child abuse. now the club has previously acknowledged this song and said action was being taken, well a year on it's still being sung. When will this action be taken?
    4 The singing of, "Nakamura ate my dog" yet more racist chanting this time directed at a Japaneese footballer.
    5 Finally, the most appauling act of all, before the match the Rangers fans unfurled a banner with the picture of an ambulance on it, the registration of the ambulance read TB01. Which without doubt is a reference to Celtic great Tommy Burns.
    Once again the scottish media and police have turned a blind eye to the actions of these people. They seem to be immune from punishment. As a Celtic supporter i would like to know if you will be taking any action to stop our enjoyment of a football match being ruined by these people.

    Regards

    Sure , we can sit back and moan about the sectarian bile that still eminates from the rangers support , the sfa will do nothing as they are quite happy to be classed as one group of rangers supporters .
    I agree 100% that we all must register our disgust with writing to as many organsiations as we can and hope that they will take up these characteristic songs sung by the masses of the rangers supporters .
    At least we can feel we did something and did not bow our heads and slink away without saying anything about this nonsense at celtic rangers games . long gone are the days when , if ye were a celtic supporter then ye had to keep yer head down going to the game incase ye were spotted by some knuckledraggers who were only to willing to spill some of your '*' blood on the streets of glagow and elsewhere in scotland .

    A few innaccuracies in that e-mail which only lose the point your trying to make. If we are going to do this then rather going at it haphazardly, it might be better to get factual content which cannot be denied in anyway.

    Then the recipient cannot put it down to being a reaction to a football result and take it seriously. :50:

    I dunno, on the one hand I want every single one of them to be locked up for it, but on the other I think everyone should be allowed to sing what they want. They're a shower of Orange * and I'd like the freedom to say that. However the reality is that this won't be allowed, and if we can't sing songs about heroes of our past then those scumbags shouldn't be getting away with what they are...

    Spot on, The main reason it annoys me is because of the * we get when we song our songs! If everyone was allowed to sing what they wanted i wouldnt give a f**k about their chants. For obvious reasons this will never happen and maybe rightly so, so in that case there is no way they should be gettin away with them chants at a football match.
