He 100% nailed his colours and intentions to the mast in the post-match interviews... Barring Norwich plays silly *, there's no real reason not to sign him... It'd be shocking if we don't!

 

He's certainly making me rethink the Idah vs Miovski debate.

He's proven himself in the limited time he's had here and that has to be taken into consideration.

 

He has finished the season well.

If we can only have one from Idah and Miovski, I'd take Idah. And I would have said that before today. Of course, I wouldn't mind both.

 

Be very interesting to see what kind of price Norwich looks for... I wondered why they didn't agree to a loan to buy at the time, and now I think it may be because they sensed the possibilities in the player. They may have looked at this as a great development loan for him, and be quite difficult to deal with because of it... I hope not! For any reasonable offer, and hopefully not our usual pinching, I'd hope to see this made permanent...

Edit: and for what it's worth, I reckon he's still got more to offer...

 

What a moment for him. He'll be desperate to stay and Rodgers is clearly desperate to keep him. Would be amazed if he's not signed fairly quickly.

 

He did his job well today, thought he looked good defending corners at the near post as well.

As for whether we ought to bring him in, I'm unsure. He offers something different from what Kyogo offers, 100%. We need a target man like him. However, it comes down to cost. For £5m+ could we get someone even better from farther afield? What about if Norwich ask for 7, 8, or more?

Hopefully the club won't jump in with both feet and a blank cheque, we need to make sure we're getting the best option available.

That's in tough call territory... There's a really good player there, that we know does the job for us, but I'd still be very cautious to break about £6-6.5M for him, without some reciprocal claw-back on the transfer... I think about £6M on the nose, add-ons for £2-3M on appearance/target basis and a good ~15% sell on would be enough...

I'd definitely baulk at £8Mish upfront...

Same. To me, £6m is fair. But given how well his loan has gone, I reckon Norwich would be daft not to try their luck for more. They might fancy him starting in the Championship as well, I duno what their situation is with their other strikers.

His talents outweigh his flaws for me.
He's still young and can only get better. Can work on awareness and touch but he's faster than infirsr thought and is a beast.
When he came on...lost the ball...bombed it back and got it back again started an attack..

He has defo shown more to sign than not.
