Would definitely cash in on him as he’s not getting any better.

 

Honking today, I know he's had injuries and what not but I don't think he has been particularly effective this season.

 

Looked unfit to me and frustrated by it. Should have been subbed before he was. Think he was probably just disappointed with his performance when he came off.

 

I don't trust our board to replace him and O'Riley adequately, if both leave. Thus, I'm hoping he stays.

 

On his game our best player I think but he has 2 good games then will be anonymous for 4-5 games.

 

A total damp squib of a season. Injured for most of it and since he returned he's largely been *. That performance today was a joke.

Still think when he's on it he's our best player but he's not showing enough consistency. Wouldn't be surprised if he's gone in the summer, albeit given his performances this season he might not have loads of suitors.

 

I’m not fully convinced he is good enough to be a starting midfielder for us. It’s possible he had a purple patch for a couple of months under Ange and that has skewed folks perception.

I think he’s probably had more average or poor performances than good for us.

He’s like a very poor man’s version of Samaras. Although Sammy had a much higher performance ceiling and could be a game changer at CL level unlike Hatate.

 

He really wasn't good today but people implying he's no good enough to start or suggesting selling him have had one too many beers. Midfield has looked so much better since he came back into the fold. Him, along with CCV and Forrest were instrumental in the upturn of our fortunes this season.

 

Yeah I think it's unfair from people, he's been massive for us, even last week. He played poorly today but has been one of our best players.

 

Again, huge talent, but the mentality of a 6 year old Kevin Thompson. Absolute no-user.

 

Either unhappy or unfit. Just nowhere near the level he’s capable of in recent weeks. Incredible talent on his day but he’s frustrating as * also.

 

We struggle massively when he doesn't play , for whatever reason . Balance never looks right , when he was out of the side we couldn't get going . He is hugely important for us . Had a quiet month and was poor today but he is a massive part of this team.

 

His presence at the end of the season has been much more valuable than his real contribution.

A couple of good plays but largely garbage performances since his return. Hasn't looked happy either, he's hard to read. Great player though, if he's happy here then I'd love to see him injury free next season.

 

Agree he looks in the huff constantly even on the bench when others are up celebrating or cheering the team on .

 

I dont want to see him sold.
His body language has looked off all season, perhaps sulking since BR seemed to favor Turnbull over him early doors.
And of course, that injury playing its part too.
Worrying for me is he seems to have lost-or maybe it has been coached out of him-that drop of the shoulder and turn he had when receiving the ball. Just not been as dynamic.
Still, I would like to keep him and pray that he can recapture form of old.
He is, however, so lightweight for a midfielder.

 

Think he needs a good off season where his body can rest. Then a full training camp, injury free and build further on it. Dont think he has shown enough this season for any clubs coming with high bids. Unlike MOR he has stagnated and still has a lot to show before making a move.

 

Whilst he didn't have the best of games yesterday I cannot get my head around some of the comments here. Hatate is a brilliant player and one we should be aiming to keep hold of. It's no coincidence that when he came back our form just got stronger and stronger.

Of course everyone is entitled to an opinion but I am genuinely surprised to see the negative comments in here. Perhaps it's a bit like Maeda, gets a lot of critics but then you truly see what he brings to the table when he is not in the team
