He really is quite gifted in his pr style... Even when he's angry, he's calm; and when he's on top he knows how to pass around the praise and the collective feelgood... Just back him with some serious players, hold onto our core and let's see a powerful push from the get-go next season... :celt_2:

First time around when he was manager we were grateful to have him, this time i think he is grateful to be Celtic manager, to have the opportunity to make amends and maybe appreciate more what it means to be Celtic manager.

Yeah I get the impression he feels like he maybe didn't appreciate what he had enough first time round.

Now see him run off for the chelsea job :42:

I doubt he'll be offered it; but I can't imagine him turning it down if he is. :56:

Anyone else think he'd be perfect for the Brighton job and Brighton would be perfect for him? The structure they have would allow him to get on with doing what he does best.

He'll stay with us for 3yrs minimum this time, as long as he keeps delivering.. Brighton have been excellent at finding innovative managers too. They won't have Rodgers as an option.

Brighton will nab McKenna I reckon, much more their profile. For all my criticism (and there's been a lot), Rodgers has done absolutely brilliantly since the loss at Tynecastle, been so impressed. If - and it's a big if - we get the summer right in terms of recruitment I'll be delighted to have him at the helm for the foreseeable.

Paddy got to agree there is no * excuse for not getting it correct.

Approx £80m expected to have cash by year end.

By looks of it £49m before a ball is kicked from UCL.

Season book sales and sponsorship at record highs. Tour of USA.

Frimpong looks to be on the move.

At least 20 players could be moved on (counting all those out on loan) and potentially matt moving on (hope not) but you could generate £50m from sales too (most of it matt) and not touch a penny in the bank nor the UCL cash too!

    2 goalies
1 centre back (2 if maik goes)
    Left back
    Centre mid
    Winger
2 strikers (1 if we sign idah)

A part of me wants him to go this summer. We're about to lose O'Riley and I have no confidence that we won't have another horrific window and so I have no confidence that we can win the league next season regardless of the manager. I like the fact that Rodgers has made up for what he did and don't want that to be spoiled by him getting the blame next season.

Every time I look at the last 3 windows, I feel surprised again at just how bad they were. The first two (Jan 23 and summer 23) in particular are just so dreadful that it's hard hard to fathom.

He won't get the blame the board will.

Thought BR himself has a poor track record of transfers

Regarding the first point, I can't agree. I wish I had a penny for every time I've seen us struggle with some pretty horrible backlines and afterwards heard variations on: "He still has the players to dominate domestically."

Regarding the second, I agree. I don't want him to be running our transfer window. That's why I'm worried: we should have a structure by now. Lawwell and Dudgeon left months ago and yet we've not heard a peep about their replacements and * forbid we should get a DoF in place.

If he were to go after winning the Cup, it would give ammo to the fans to go on a campaign against this rotten board. Sadly, judging by BR's most recent statement, he intends to stay. Maybe he forced the board to give him better players, but I am not sure.
