Joe Hart

I'll be honest, when we signed him I was expecting him to be an arrogant * who'd probably consider himself bigger than the club and be more likely to cause dressing room problems than not. Hard to imagine I could have been more wrong about someone if I'd tried. He'll be a huge miss around the place, no doubt, and I'll miss the big guy which is definitely not something I could have imagined saying way back then! Whoever comes in to replace him has big gloves to fill.

 

I won't deny it, I really didn't want him and thought he was finished. Absolutely chuffed to have been proven wrong. In fact, we should have bought him 4 or 5 years ago.

A great guy and a great leader. He'll be sorely missed. We gave him a chance to revive his career and get the best out of his later years, and he gave us exactly what we needed when we needed it. Some people are just born to play for us at some point. I felt the same thing about Ange when he was manager, it was the perfect fit.

We need to make sure his replacement is of similar ability and character. He never really came across that arrogant to me. I think because he was England's poster boy for so long and shouted at that wee ball boy at the Euros people bought into that whole thing.

 

I want this tarted up all fancy, heated up on a spoon, straight into my * veins man.

I’m going to be devastated when he hangs up his boots. Since he announced his retirement he’s been exceptional. A massive, maybe the most important part, for us getting the title. I never once thought I’d adore this guy this much before he played for us. We were lucky to have him, he’s played a huge, monumentally huge role for 6 trophies in 3 seasons, and theres one more to play for….

 

My take on Joe Hart is that he finally found a home at Celtic after a few uncertain years and he repaid us in spades.

 

Hard to see how we will replace him.

Starting to hope he sticks around. Someone better have a plan in place.

 

Not gonna be a dry eye in the house today.

 

At the start of this season my number 1 or 2 priority was to replace him. Biggest compliment I can give him is a feel like a right idiot now.

 

He was the only real consistency we had in that backline.

 

One of my favourite modern-day players.

 

People were doubting him, I think there was definitely an element of wanting to prove people wrong. He's come, won medals, played in the Champions league and become a hero.
