Spoke about his man management and how he didn't really speak to him/the players much. Along those lines..

I read it same as above that he didn't particularly like that side of his approach..

We like to think of football as one big market, but in reality every league has its own market value. Look at the prices we got players from Japan for - players of the year and league leaders for buttons. We are Japan to EPL clubs. MOR might be a £50m player at Liverpool but he's at Celtic and he's a £20m player. It is what it is.

Coupled with that, I do think we have a habit of undercharging even for own league's value. People will cite Tierney and Jota but they're exceptions rather than the rule. Think of GG, Juranovic, Christie, Edouard. We sold VVD for £13m, Southampton sold him for more than 5 times that 2 seasons later. We make money in the transfer market but we leave a lot of it on the table as well.

40m buys you a ready made player in that position with a few more years experience, from Spain, Portugal, Italy etc. ie, leagues that English snobs "respect".

At a push we'll get 25 plus add ons.

And we don't need that money. It's our policy yes. But we don't need to sell.

I suppose we should thank Riley McGree for turning us down to join Middlesbrough. He was Ange's 1st choice and had he not rejected us we'd never have signed Matty Bhoy.

Hopefully he will stay another season. We should be looking to build on success and MoR is one who could build a legacy here. Of course he can get more money elsewhere but he is going to be well rewarded here. The club certainly doesn't need the money with CL cash and a gazillion in the bank.

He should realise that nights like this are unlikely to happen at Atletico, Crystal Palace or a 1000 other clubs.
