Olivier Ntcham has revealed he left Celtic because he was BORED of winning every trophy in Scotland.

The Cameroon international ended his sint at Parkhead after four years, although spent the last six months on loan at Marseille before before moving on permanently to to Swansea City three years ago. Former Man City kid Ntcham is now playing his football with Turkish Super Lig outfit Samsunspor and has opened up on his motivation for leaving the Scottish Premiership champions

He said: "I left Celtic because I didn't think I could win any more trophies with them at the time. I was there for three seasons and we won everything, all the trophies. So I thought it was the right moment to leave. But I had some disagreements with the club because they didn't want me to leave. I left anyway and because of that, we had a very bad relationship.

But I don't have any bad thoughts towards Celtic. At the end of the day, this is football and football is like that sometimes. I wish them the best and I was very happy while I was there

And Ntcham - who won eight trophies in his time at Celtic - admitted he will always cherish the memory of scoring the only goal in an Old Firm game in 2018, where his second half strike inflicted Steven Gerrard's first defeat as Rangers manager, at Parkhead.

He recalled: "It was incredible, it felt amazing to score the only goal. There are no words to use for this type of game, but it was great. The feeling, the stadium full, everything. The stadium was shaking and the moment I scored that goal was incredible. It was an amazing feeling and even now I struggle to describe the excitement

At no point in that interview does he ever use the word “bored”.

Gutter journalism, as per usual from that outfit. I’m stunned that people actually lap it up.
