Whilst I agree, he has been absolutely * over in recruitment. We literally have stockpiles of cash in the bank and refuse to replace Jota, Starfelt, Abada, Mooy properly, let alone improve other areas of the pitch. We still have Taylor as our first choice left back... And then no one else behind him.

I know replacing those players, especially Jota, is a difficult task. However, have we bought any players with potential to get anywhere near their levels? I think we'd all agree that we don't.

You can say he has the final say in deals, and he probably does but if we keep going to him with mediocre players, he hasn't got a lot of choice. We have also heard of us enquiring about players and then never following them up.

He's working with a worse squad than Ange had built.

We also have had horrific injuries where Abada, McGregor, Hatate and CCV haven't featured in the same starting xi, I think.

It's not a get out of jail though. He should be doing better with what he has but he isn't an Ange level of manager. He's just not. But we should back him to make it absolutely nailed on where the title is going.

I know we are all going to slag them off, given they are our rivals but the huns went on a pretty decent run under Clement, when he first came in. What was it? 15/16 games unbeaten with some decent European results in there up until we played them at Celtic Park? Even after that, they went on a 11 game winning streak.

Whilst they have completely folded in the last few weeks, they're not a completely horrendous team and saying so under values what we have done as a club, by winning so many titles. Rangers aren't *, they're just not Celtic.

I get why people feel there needs to be a change in the summer. I'm not completely against a change, myself. I'd rather we stuck with Rodgers because I do feel as if he is the only manager we are going to get that will literally drag the custodians of this club, kicking and screaming, to progress on and OFF the park.

The football needs to be better, there is no denying that. It needs to improve but when you're playing players that don't suit your system, it's hard for any sort of manager to change their style of play when it's a huge part of what/who they are. Look at Ange, 3 months ago he was a saint down there, now there are serious questions being asked. We loved that he never stopped playing the way we did. You can't have one rule for Ange and another rule for Rodgers, though.

Scouting/Recruitment. It's the biggest problem we have at the football club right now. Sort that, you begin to look like a real European team. A manager can only get you so far.

Going to be a big summer. Hart and O’Riley away. Two big players and characters in the team. Maybe the biggest 2 after Calmac. Hatate also may leave.

Think we will stick with Brendan whether we win league or not. Hopefully he can get some of his own players. Idah signing was slated at the time but he’s the only one I think is genuinely Brendan’s signing since he came in, and he’s been the best maybe.

We’ve been flying for a while now under BR, hopefully it continues.

Brendan Rodgers insists Celtic can’t “soften up” after rivals Rangers’ recent struggles as he vowed the champions will put the foot down in their bid for a sprint finish to the season.

The Hoops go into Saturday’s Scottish Cup semi-final showdown against Aberdeen looking to move a step closer to defending the trophy they won last season as part of a Treble. Celtic have also moved into pole position for a third consecutive Scottish Premiership crown with a three-point lead at the summit

Their position at the top of the table has been strengthened by Rangers picking up just one point from a possible six in two games in hand they had over their rivals and Philippe Clement’s Light Blues, also in semi-final action against Hearts on Sunday, have won just two games out of eight in all competitions. And from feeling the heat himself at times this season, the focus has switched to his rival

But the Irishman said: “We haven’t won anything yet. We can only do our work because you can’t soften up, especially at this time, just because another team might have drawn, lost or whatever. That’s irrelevant. You have to perform and get the result because if you come off it against team who are motivated and organised then they can give you a problem

For us, we have to continually focus on our own performance, irrespective of what happens elsewhere, because we have to create our story and for that we have to work at it. And that hopefully will be the storyline come the end of the season

It’s not how you start the marathon it’s how you finish it and for us we’re improving day by day, looking good on the field, with still lots of improvements to make and performances in the main have been good but still a long way to go in terms of the league - five points is 15 points and that’s a lot to play for.

I agree with all of this.

I would add that benchmarking success in our league is very difficult and especially when the bigger teams in the league have been poor. Both Celtic and rangers have went on runs this season that on paper look impressive but actually neither have been strong. Aberdeen and Hibs have been awful, Dundee utd aren't even in the league and even Hearts who should be happy with their finish started poorly. There has been such a decline among the traditionally bigger Scottish teams besides Celtic and rangers that it's very tough to measure success when Celtic are grinding out wins against poor teams.

If we can get over the line and win the league I really hope Rodgers stays but he has to be backed by the board. We have enough cash sitting in the bank to blow away all domestic competition in Scotland and at the very least to give 3rd in the champions league groups a real go. That should be a realistic benchmark to aspire to and this season is hopefully a wakeup call if nothing else that we cannot continue to coast and take our position for granted.

I think all those penalties have backfired. I think it's shown them up worldwide and may have impacted on how professional and reliable our referees are. They don't seem to be invited to any party.

It’s something I repeatedly point out when it comes to Anges first season here and just what he pulled off and why it’s one of the most impressive feats I’ve seen as a Celtic fan. Them getting to a European Final is written off as lucky by a large amount of our fans, it wasn’t, they deserved to get there and they done it against teams like RBL and Dortmund.

We beat them, won two trophies, and from the starting point we had. Downplaying them as * and lucky completely underwrites just what we’ve done in recent years.

Look what they’ve done in the Europa in general, how many trophies for us in that team when they’ve been able to go toe to toe with that level? We aren’t dominating *. They’re a good team. But, we are * dominating.

His head looks like its been microwaved. I wouldn't recommend anyone take that job, it will ruin careers. Look a moley, went to Sunderland with his reputation down the drain from day 1, he stood no chance. Slowly breaks them down.

Beale is a * joke, when he went to the Huns after a good start at QPR he’d lost 5 games in a row. Done good under zero pressure at the Huns then failed utterly and completely, and the full time contradictory in his talk and was selling dreams.

Somehow got Sunderland job, because he must be * good at interviews with his * talk. Failed utterly, got caught using a burner twitter account to praise himself.

Guy was never a good manager. Absolute clown of the highest order.

Best them home and away in the league and came from behind to win the league whilst they were beating very decent sides in europe and arguably the strongest they have been since liquidation.

It was a tremendous achievement for a guy in his 1st season, dealing with essential a full rebuild and in his 1st job in europe.

Agreed but i'm saying the man had lost his mind due to the pressure. I doubt there are good managers and bad ones with nothing in between. Relatively speaking hes a bad manager but only because he had been utterly skelped by us and didn't handle it well. After that its a downward spiral as we see. Beale couldve been successful elsewhere.

He's been impressive * lately, it has to be said. So calm and up for it..

I've never really been a fan of his interviews to say the least but they've been quite bullish, buoyant and matter of fact. You can see hes in a good place, the squad is and it's showing...the support are with them also..

It's all going in the right direction finally..
