Look at the st.mirren away game the zombies were playing in the lead by a goal and there was 9 substitutes in the second half and only 3 minutes added on but again other clubs stay silent but if you don't just like Hibs did the other week with another scandalous penalty award they got you get hammered by the SFA .

Tbh he did have the corner flag in his hand too, lol.

I remember Craig Bellamy celebrating on park at corner flag and getting booked, lol.

The point I have if Johnson touched the ball how is it a penalty he got the ball and they don't show that when beaton went to the monitor so whoever was responsible for that is * at it and cheating .

They should be docked points just for the amount of inbreds in that picture.

I’d love to see a look at the stats behind bookings that actually get dished out for that, because I watch a lot of football, and feel like it’s us I always see it for at all.

I want the data on it though, because I’m aware that I’ll notice it more for us, but I’m convinced majorly thats the case

Something I believe Celtic have asked for clarification about. It's a disgrace that the part showing AJ winning the ball isn't shown.

A few sports pundits have said the same why was the incident edited so the ref is influenced and a whole minute they showed it from different angles but left out Johnson winning the ball * scandalous.

Did they not show the touch near the end? I'm pretty sure they did.

If they did that would make it worse I didn't see Johnson touching the ball when beaton was checking on the monitor.
If beaton sees the whole incident when the ball is touched by Johnson he can't give a penalty.

This, context is key, and showing the whole incident play out would show that AJ gets the ball, is falling backwards and Silva is already on his way down before the contact.

I don't actually blame Beathun for the penalty award if he's only been shown what we could all see was being shown on his monitor.

But if he's shown what we can all see now from the highlights. There's no way he can (not saying he wouldn't) award the penalty.

Genuinely flabbergasted that so many people see the AJ one as a penalty. I was certain, even with Beaton as the ref, he was never giving it in real time.

People’s perception of what is and isn’t a pen has now been warped so badly that they will argue for things that clearly aren’t. You make a fair tackle in the box and win the ball without excessive force there is zero justification for a foul, even if the attacker then runs into your dangling leg that has nowhere else to go. It’s properly mind blowing that ex refs with the benefit of hindsight can use the still or 3 second part of the replay where AJ hasn’t touched the ball and say that’s a penalty.

Nah they didn’t sky showed the feed they were playing it at start before Beaton went to monitor to watch literally watched it being moved on pas that point then played the leg contact back and forth

    It was well dodgy

Hmmm I'm not sure that's right, I'm more than certain he saw it but as said was a bit bizarre they didn't show it till very end.

I'd need to see the game over how it played out.

It's not a penalty; but it's not as outrageous as the Iwata one TBH. Unlike with the Iwata one, it's impossible to know if this one was cheating or just a common or garden bad decision. Maybe it was, I don't know. It's hard to get too worked up about a "maybe" TBH.

No one will ever convince me that Beaton wasn't cheating when he intervened at Hearts, though.

See the pictures broadcast, is that exactly what they are seeing on the monitor? I’ve always wondered, it wasn’t when it first came in, broadcasters had angles shown in the Europa League in particular from what I remember that the refs wouldn’t see.

If that’s the case now what they highlighted on the broadcast at the time is what was shown, then that is absolute bullshit and needs an explanation. I’m of the opinion it was a penalty, I’m aware I’m in the minority with that but regardless of if it was a clear absolute penalty every single person agreed was one or if it wasn’t giving and was clearly 100% agreement that it shouldn’t be, that’s not the point at that stage, it’s that a particular small clip of only a fraction of the incident being decided on is shown, and not the full incedent. It was halfway through a tackle that was shown, can’t even have an attempt to explain that it wasn’t necessary to make an informed decision or a different phase. It was cut to halfway through the tackle, that he did connect with the ball. Cutting that out isn’t something that can be yada yada’d away under the guidelines they’re using.

Looking at fouls and bookings that 1st half, possesion and where the ball was mostly in play in our half middle of the pitch and their goal. If you showed anycunt that, and asked them who they think is the one with the fouls and bookings and who were the frustrated ones chasing the ball taking swipes and getting desperate, they wouldn’t match up our bookings/fouls to us.

Look at the disallowed goal, look where Beaton is on the field when it happens, how good a view he has, how closely he’s watching. That’s been called because it’s went to VAR and it’s too obvious, during the game it was one of many fouls not called when it should have been, and was for lighter less obvious things in our direction.

The VAR calls I think were all correct, and I’ve been getting pelters due to it and fair enough, it wasn’t those ones that * me the * off. It was the full game, and the bookings.

    Totally agree.

That, the incessant diving and the ridiculous hand ball "rules" these days are genuinely killing football. Don't like how they ref offsides with VAR either.

The whole thing needs to be seriously looked at and remedied. It's out of control now. This isn't just a reaction to the other day, it's everywhere.
