This thread is a perfect example of how fickle our support is.

He allowed the penalty miss to affect the rest of his performance today.

    Needs to bounce back.

Not gonna hammer him for it, he was pivotal to the win last Sunday, and against Hibs, but that’s a woeful peno.

    Yep..

Poor penalty although if the keeper doesn't save it with his legs then it's classed as cool and cheeky..

I thought his link up and hold up play on loads of occasions was very good. Wee flicks round the corner. Holding them off..

Was a hard shift after we went down to 10 and a diabolical Maeda up there next to him..

Too many poor penalties from our players this season and most of the misses down low. Penalty takers should be practicing in training to make sure they are better at them

Penalties are a lottery and he missed one today. That I can accept.

Better players (Henrik) have missed penalties for us. It is how they react. To be fair, I can't question his effort, even if things didn't go for him.

When going down the middle, always go a bit higher to avoid the feet. A small keeper, that's in. A big lanky *, it hits his foot. Wouldnt take him off penalties for that. Played well enough after and unlucky to be denied a goal or two from the usual keeper turning brilliant against us. Still like him and still currently in the sign him up camp.

Honestly that penalty aside I thought he had a good game all things considered. Hard to judge him too much as we were a man down and chasing. Thought he was a great out all today, really strong, good control and held it up well to let players get up with the play. Unfortunately with the man down it was just too much of an ask. Him and kyogo linked well a few times second half also

I swear to * though, we are coaching our player to hit * penalties. Every new taker gets a decent one then becomes *

The least of our concerns. Every faith in him to fire us to the league.

I've been humbled since he's come in. Penalty was * but he's already got us out the * twice already this season and he's only just in the door.

Frustrating but it happens. I don't get excited at all now when were given a penalty :56:

The bottler Tavpen is, he is also a good example for that penalties are not a lottery. It's a skill and it's trainable. That Celtic is a bottling club when it comes to penalties is a self-made issue. I don't blame Idah for it but I blame the club for not addressing this, it's going on for years and nothing has been done about it. But that's already a structural problem with Desmond and Lawwell at the helm of this club it is a repeating occurrence that we don't address problem areas and hence are stuck at not fulfilling our whole potential.

The last thing any paid professional footballer should do with a penalty is hit straight down the middle. I'm gonna stick it the one place the keeper starts of at, and legs will cover. Brain dead.

Whilst he's doing OK, that moment changed the game.

    Raging with him.

I actually disagree. I've not seen many penalties through the middle being saved. It's shooting low that's the problem.
