Just another case of people feeling that they need to be offended for someone else.

If she wasn’t offended there’s no issue.

Personally, I think it's more to do with anti-Irish sentiment. Glasgow's rife with it.

Because it was * moronic. He and the team were trying to build on what was a good second half up till that point, chasing a winner and needing support from the stands.

Whether or not anyone thought it was the right sub to make, boing was absolutely pointless and could have derailed things. I doubt it gave Bernardo a lot of confidence coming on fs.

Turned out the right move aswell, Iwata was solid and just what we needed, but had been out for ages so started tiring. McGregor also improved by dropping back one I thought, so double whammy.

Been critical of Rodgers a lot recently but he had every right to bring that up. Pity it's having the opposite effect to what it should have I.e. fans taking a step back and thinking yeah maybe not throw in stupid boos in the heat of the moment when we're in dire need of positivity.

I've already said the substitution made sense..

But, if Rodgers is trying to create unity having a go at an already fragmented support isn't the way forward..

I just think a fully confident Rodgers doesn't even mention it.. just says something all the lines of 'our game management was good with all my substitutions making an impact'

You can tell the pressure is getting to him and as i said in another post maybe we need some fire from him.. he just needs to channel it better.

Of course he's feeling the pressure, most of us have been absolutely slaughtering him for weeks. He obviously feels it's important enough to mention, it's clearly * him off which I get. There's enough moaning and groaning going on without needless booing of a justifiable substitution during a vital match.

I despise him I slate him for his wrongs but he made the changes that got us the 3 points and I applaud him for that!

Plus this bollox about him being sexist! Storm in a tea cup.amd only a fool would slate him for that!

Folk trying to justify booing subs is borderline mental. I can’t fathom how anybody could think that’s acceptable.

Very disappointing that the toxic home support is starting to seep into the away support.

As I’ve always said, you could fit a * packet between many Celtic fans and many Huns in how they act.

Aye, the fuking supporters need to take a long hard look in the mirror at times.

They've certainly not helped push the team on this season and just added to the difficulties.

Aye there is a time to crank up the pressure on the manager and team, that is when they are failing even after ample time to fix things. But there have been too many intent on stoking the flames from the very start. Ironically it's usually the ones banging on about 'self sabotage'.

Thought the booing was cringeworthy. Personally.

    "Best fans in the world".

We need to try and at least live up to that line that so many like to pedal. Like him or not he's here till the end of the season now and with about 2 months to go the team need all the support we can give them.

I'm not happy with the situation at the club and it goes beyond Rodgers, but, at least for this next 8 weeks or so need to try and hopefully recover and see this title over the line.

I'm not justifying the booing of subs but I do get where some fans would be coming from.. let's face it, his substitutions this season have alot to be desired and have put us bang in trouble, the huns at home being the stand out, maybe it's some fans way of letting him know.

I think Rodgers also feels he is immune to criticism, he let a * 8 point lead and massive goal difference evaporate by playing turgid football and repeating the same mistakes, Fans are going to let him know.

But I agree this negativity has to be parked until the league is done then our anger should be directed at the actual people * this club, DD, Lawwell and his band of inept relatives..

There was no need to bring up the booing of the sub when no one asked him, he obviously couldn’t wait to say “hey I got one over on yous”. That’s shows there’s a split and let’s be honest the sub didn’t make a difference really. Quite petty from him. He should be applauded for changing strikers though and firing some balls into the box.

Its a good point though. Booing a sub isn't exactly going to give that player coming on a boost of confidence to effect the game. Go wild like hatatte just came back, go wild like we do when ccv comes on. That player has bound to get a boost if that happens.

They were obviously booing Rodgers and the turgid, shapeless, ineffective football he has us playing.

Bunch of snowflakes on here. :fear:

Football players are self obsessed. If they hear booing when coming on, they think it's because of them.

Depends on the person, but sure.

It's not something I do, or generally expect our support to do. I'm just pointing out the reason. Sunday's game was some of the worst football I've ever seen us play. That has an effect on the fans too.
