What I was trying to say is that Rodgers desire to have marquee signings messed up the summer/windows as they evaporated and we were left with critical positions unfilled.There was money there for better signings it just wasn't spent.

So it’s Rodgers fault that we couldn’t sign his alleged “marquee” signings. So we then had to move on to the scouts targets instead, who have been woeful. * me. Rodgers first time, Lennon & Deila must all have had the same problems. Ange appeared not to have that bother. Must have just been a coincidence that Lawwell wasn’t around then to make big decisions, but was for the others mentioned.

 

Still infuriates me that this * slithered away after the Covid season only to casually step back into the fold as soon as we had success under Ange. He's a parasite.

 

I did get the impression based on who we were linked with, that he had us chasing 3 or 4 players in the £10-15 million price range that we failed to get, meaning we likely missed out on other targets. I can't imagine after 4 seasons at Leicester were he was spending 20-25 million per player that he'd really have cheaper targets in mind

While you get the vibe with Ange, he had a better knowledge of the kind of markets that had players that would jump at the chance to join us, but would also be more ruthless on moving onto the next target

 

Well, what I want to say is that the windows were so awful because Peter Lawwell is having a swimming pool full of money built, Scrooge McDuck style.There's about as much evidence for my view as for yours in pink.

Lawwell and Rodgers are both disastrous in the transfer market for different reasons. Lawwell is a penny pinching * and Rodgers wastes the money he's given on pish. Whether that's because he has a poor eye for a player or looks for unrealistic targets you decide. Personally, I think it's a combination of both.

It isn't a coincidence that this is happening again with Lawwell back, no. But is it also a coincidence that Rodgers has a terrible record at every club he's been at? Lawwell is a cancer and obviously stifles us, but the same problems seem to follow Rodgers everywhere he goes. Doesn't matter who he works under, what level he's at, or which club. It's deja vu every single time.

Both of them working together is a recipe for disaster. It was the first time around and it is again.

Get them both to * I say.

 

Yeah it's just so predictable and stagnant.

We need a fresh and new approach in the summer.. Lawwell can * off he's made millions from us and BR can join him..

We need a new set up starting from fresh with a complete change on strategy to move this club forward after 20 years of standing still..

Not that it will make much difference but I won't be putting a single cent into the club until there's change. I'd even go as far as saying if the Lawwell /BR combination is still here next season, I won't be tuning in.. sick of it

Do Sevco pay half his wages? As his main concern seems to be the preservation of the "old firm" those * should be paying half.

 

Big man deserves credit for allowing the recruitment team to bring in Yang and Idah who won us the game today.

Apparently he's told Gordon to tell Gavin to tell JK to tell Rodgers to bring Idah and Yang on in the second half because he dreamt they'd win us the game today.
