For laziness, knows the club fairly well, has knowledge of UK and European football, plays fast free attacking football (so the board will think and to appease fans) and free and available (again important for the board), won't rock the boat...the boards choice...Jesse Marsch!!!

Taming out the need for an structure overhaul and DoF being implemented and in serious terms, we should be having a shortlist of Knutsen, Mckenna, Muscat, Potter. Glaser would have been good but Palace bound. Iraola and Bosz were great shouts last summer but not to be. Gotta be some up and coming coach in Europe that come to us. Minds a blank the now.

So it'll be Roy Keane then.

Joking. It's not happening. The board can't allow any sort of admission of guilt in this *-show that's unfurling. More of the same and hope for the best.

Was nice to have a bit of escapism there.

As the seasons have ticked by under this board and the managers have all left for similar reasons, it's surely all to public knowledge within the managerial world, that we simply aren't a good club to work for.

Restrictive budgets that aren't suitable, underfunded and lack of ambition, interfering chairman and CEOs, * poor recruitment teams, useless negotiations and zero urgency in transfer dealings (not simply fans saying this, clubs we've tried to deal with have said it numerous times now).

Why would any self respecting manager want to come to this club?

    Serious question.

Players I can understand, we can give a platform for an EPL pipe dream to some 19-22 year old players from the continent. We've made that our basic transfer principle, picking up scrap projects in hopes of telling them they could be the next Van Dijk.

But managers? Sure we can show off Ange, but they then need to also contend with all of the above and know it's not gonna be the norm. Ange was the exception.

People joke, was the only Sensible thing we've done at board level in 20 years now.

But his face didn't fit when he tried doing things his way - like signing ready made players in Josip, Hart and Giakoumakis - rumours are they had low release fees to entice them (hence the early attempts to get them to sign new deals after McKay was booted out), that doesn't suit the guys at the top, so off he went.

Rather have a boardroom filled with Dom McKays than Strachan's, Lawwells and Desmond's infesting the club.

I don't get all this nobody will want the job talk. A lot of managers would love to manage Celtic.

We have still spent a reasonable amount of money this season, but the signings haven't turned out well.

Rodgers got a move back to England due to his record with us and Ange has just left us for the English Premier League.

Managers can make their name with us and get a good move as well as the players. Ange went from a relatively unknown manager to one of the most respected managers in the country due to managing us.

Marti Cifuentes at QPR for me.

Did a fine job at Hammarby in Allsvenskan.
Now he´s well on his way at turning things around at Loftus Road,
after the shambles that went on during Gareth Ainsworth´s tenure.

And we could do worse than him taking Lyndon Dykes, Chris Willock and Ilias Chair to Celtic as well.

    Won´t happen obviously.

Wonder if graham potter would be available until end of the season. Seen he was linked with another team but think that’s from next season to start.

Our board will never sack rodgers though

Moyes until the end if the season would be better than Rodgers until the end of the season.

Managers from Australia and East Asia would see our budget as very big.

For me whoever it is we need to be looking at bringing people with them both in terms of a football staff and a sporting director.

Whatever order it is, like if it’s Knutsen, go get their Sporting Director/ DoF in too.

I mentioned the other day I would try our best to persuade USG Director of Football Chris O’Loughlin and ask who he fancies as a head coach.

Where Rodgers should be doing a lot better with this group of players, the problems at our club are far deeper rooted than the manager. Ange was a phenomenon but he was more than a manager hence why is managing a top 6 club I the biggest league. The chances of getting someone like that again are very very slim.

Even more so the chat of a leadership group in the dressing room leading a discussion McGregor, Taylor and Hart. Two of those three everyone near enough wanted out the team all season and they are your leadership group?

Let’s be honest we aren’t going to sack Rodgers, if he walks Kennedy is getting the job to the summer no one else.

We have so many subpar players I actually struggle to know what to do going forward this 4-4-1-1 we have been trying is terrible.

My only thought would be try packing the centre to stiffen us up and relieve O’Riley of as many defensive responsibilities.

Bring in Iwata, and one of Holm or Bernardo or possibly Palma as a 10. Full backs are still a problem as Greg Taylor only wants to come inside, Bernabei is a joke and our right back options are poor.

However, how do we line up if we have no good wingers or full backs, a poor centre back pairing that needs protecting and one capable striker.

I'd look to sort a director of football first and take it from there, with him leading the search for the manager.

We need a complete overhaul and that has to start above the head coach/manager etc whatever you want to refer to them as.

As much as I completely agree, and would love and ACTUAL DoF here, ie. One who can change the entire ethos of our transfer business as well as modernise our football culture, we have to remember who would be doing the hiring.

We're less likely to see a Ralf Rangnick and more likely to see a Ralph Wiggum.

Remember who and what Desmond is. The * literally thinks he's the DoF.

If he were to appoint one, it would be a ceremonial position, or at best, a complete yes man who follows orders. Lennon, Strachan, Keane, maybe even Mark * Lawell.

This club is * until we can force Desmond out.

Knutsen will be hot on Ajax’s radar especially if he knocks them out of Europe. He’s likely well out of our league as much as i’d love him to come here.

First priority is to rid Peter Lawwell of his defacto DOF role and his son from his “scouting” role and then take it from there.

I think he's just better at bringing a smaller team through like the Swedish club he started at and then Swansea. Think the pressure up here would do him...anyway he's on a massive wage still from Chelsea
