Daizen Maeda

They'll be a lot of kids in Paisley waking up tomorrow finding a few footballs in their garden.

Work rate is second to none. End ball is absolutely horrendous.

 

To me, the lack of celebration indicated that he wasn't happy with his performance up until that point. Which is fair enough because I thought it left a lot to be desired.

 

Kyogo is from the Kansai region of Japan, which is stereotypically where Japanese are more friendly and open.

Stereotypes aside, Daizen does seem to be a lot more reserved than Kyogo anyway.

 

Osaka is like the Glasgow of Japan, proper working class who can't stand the toffs of Tokyo!

 

Aye always has been since they've been here. Still a slight concern for me seeing him so subdued, he does normally crack at least a smirk when he scores.

 

Probably worried how much it'll cost to replace the window he smashed with that cross he hit.

You’d think he was the only player to * up a cross today.

He’s in a tough period but his work rate and commitment means he’s always contributing even when things aren’t going well.

I thought in particular with Kyogo providing the pivot through the middle Maeda was really able to stretch the opposition like he hasn’t been able to recently.

 

There's * up a cross, and there's * up a cross. He absolutely balloons it out the park at least 2 or 3 times a game.

Guy is a * waste of a jersey.

 

Funnily enough, this hits on the problem in my opinion. Other players * their crosses all day but because Maeda ‘ballooned’ his people tend to overreact.

He’s always going to split opinion but the highlight of his game today for some people seems to be a ballooned cross on a * pitch instead of the goal he scored today.

 

I know his technical ability lets him down at times but I just love the guy.

 

Name one time his technical ability has let him down.
