If any of that WhatsApp rumour was true why would his last act as manager be to have a go at the support whilst defending the board. I like a WhatsApp rumour but at least make it worthwhile

 

Even with lack of quality signings this squad should be performing to a far better standard consistently than what we’ve been seeing. Part of that is on Rodgers, the football is stale * and has been for 90% of the season, the tactics need to change.

A few signings wont magically make us play better football, just prevent the basic mistakes.

 

The WhatsApp pish also says Mark Lawwell contacted Rodgers which I find hard to believe as I'm not convinced the * exists

 

You’re grossly overestimating the quality of our squad.

We have no wingers or full backs who can beat a man, except Mikey Johnston who is * at everything else.

Can you point out a Celtic squad in history where this has ever been an issue?

 

I'm wondering if the truth is somewhere in the middle of "he's went to Spain to speak to Desmond and has walked" and "Rodgers does * all".

More like if he's went to Spain (?) And is with Desmond, it's probably to get him felt to sort this last few days out. "Sign me X, Y and Z or you'll see the Huns win the league and I'll be gone at the end of it"

Rodgers ego wont see him here when the huns win.

He knows it'll put his stock even lower, hindering further his return to england.

The timing would be key to him.

Klopp and xavi announcing end of season departures. Honestly could see Rodgers timing it so he looks better than if he walks after defeat to Huns

He'll be hoping for the Villa job if Liverpool go for Emery.

 

Would be a shout for him.

Time the announcement right. Villa pay him out his last two years, he announces it sometime in Feb/march he's off at end of season.

I don't believe any of this pish.

I wouldn't blame him for walking though. He's not been backed and the picture that was given to him seems to be very different to the one we're all living.

The support were split on his appointment but no one wants to see a Celtic manager fail as it means we're not doing well on the pitch.

The reason I say all this is because he painted us a very different picture to what we're seeing.

I don't think the brand of football and the performances have been great this year at all. I wanted Rodgers given his marching orders after the Hearts game. To change him now with a fee days of the window is suicidal though. We won't even get a manager in before it closes, let alone players he wants.

The club is run awfully. No other club is run like us. No successful one, anyway.

We won't change though as those in charge won't change and think they know better than everyone else.

If he’s smart he’ll leave now. We are 100% dropping points in the next 2/3 games and the club will be toxic.

 

Tbh I want to see Rodgers coming out kicking and screaming at the lack of support in the window.

This is the bit where people should be careful what they wish for. If you think it's bad now and Brendan walks this could get a lot worse yet.

Apologies for the repetition but this is all on the board for me. The summer window was wrong and this one has been even worse again.

I'd walk it I was Rodgers, love Celtic with all my heart but wouldn't want to be held responsible for the club's downturn when not being given the tools to get the job done
