If this is happening, I really hope it's for the right reasons - ie, it's because he can provide something that we don't currently have - and not because of his name and who his father was. It was the same reason why I've always been hesitant when the links for Jordan Larsson have sprung up in the past, impossible legacy to live up to. Although Sydney may be more able to match PvH's... maybe? Certainly more than Jordan Larsson would be.

 

Dont really know much about him but loan with option to buy would be fine. Zero risk for our absolute shitebag of a board.

Bologna didn't sign his replacement until Wednesday.

That's when things looked as if they've started to move forward. If he does sign, I'd imagine we have been waiting in the wings for Bologna to sign their replacement so we could pick him up on a favourable deal.

 

If that was the case, we should have moved to target number 2. We have missed the opportunity to get a signing in the door and integrated to the team before the return from the break.

Bologna might never have signed a replacement and it would have left us scrambling at the end of the window.

 

Usually, I would agree with you.

However, having seen some of our 'number 2' targets over the last couple of transfer windows, I'm not sure it's the right move to do that. I've actually just mentioned the main one from January last year, where we moved on from the clearly better player in Cho and signed a younger, less established player like Oh.

 

We shouldnt have left ourselves in a position where Kyogo is our only available striker. He could pull up injured and we would be up * creek.

Sometimes the number 2 work out and sometimes they dont. Missing out on Riley Mcgree and ending up with Matt O’Riley is the best example.

People saying he dont look that good etc,well if he was anything special other clubs would be in for him and we,d be priced out of it.

Maybe I've just lost all faith in our scouting and recruitment team. With 3 days left of the transfer window and no upgrade on Taylor/Hart, it's not surprising.

The commentators in the game yesterday on TNT mentioned he was absent as he was closing in on a move to Celtic.

We think it's either been a mistake and they've seen he's been linked online or they've been told that it's in the pipeline. That would have been likely had the Italian media ran with it today. They haven't.

He will likely be on the move, according to his manager but I doubt it will be to us.
