It's got to a point that of you are serious about football and want to develop a real career in the game.

Being a youth player for Celtic just isn't the place, no matter how much you might love the club

Had a look at Juve Vs Frosinone yesterday in the Coppa Italia. Juve started with an 18bywar old striker up front, 20nyeatvold in midfield that's been in the first team the last 3 seasons now, played 40 games last season, a bench full of youths with son experience in there. They can do it, why can't we? We've enough that look promising at the club, we just never even give a single bench space to one.

If we want to get more exciting loans for our youth, we need to give them games through the season so they can look a real prospect, then we can get them out to SPL or to European leagues for that experience instead of Scottish championship or lower.

I'm hopeful the Admira partnership is used well, it works great for many clubs and we should leverage that more, 2nd half of the season we should be speaking with them going what do you need, would you like a Kwon or a Joey Dawson etc

Scotland as a whole is simply the most outdated and least professional out of the European leagues.

It is why the home grown rule for associations like Scotland is actually a huge * hindrance, because to have a true amount of genuine talent who could actually elevate us to a new level in competition like CL, Europa or even the conference league... would be mean we need a far greater domestic league set up and obviously then the money within the league to keep the * before they start getting poached by English youth systems that hoover up talent and hoard players, or to bigger European teams that have a set model for their academy and their interest would be hard for even the most diehard celtic fan to turn down

If he wants game time Como could be a good move, challenging for promotion so could play in Serie A.

That’s the sad reality. No matter how good you are you’re always behind the £2/3m project from Europe or Asia. Could understand if we were buying players for £6m+ but we aren’t.

Doesn't make sense to me. If we were going to go back to him begging then we should've done it before now and he probably would've had some meaningful game time.

Board have taken the * with this lad. Never given him a chance in the first team, kept him behind either ageing or not good enough players, let his contract run down, refuse to play him because he won’t sign a new deal and now they want to offer him a new contract just days after signing yet another winger he’ll be behind :giggle1:.

    Run far away Rocco.

    Celtic
are planning new contract talks with forward Rocco Vata.

The 18-year-old’s current deal expires in the summer and the club have given permission to Bologna and Como 1907 to speak to him about a potential transfer.

The Hoops remain open to offers for the Ireland U21 international.

However, Vata has been training with the Celtic first team this week and the club would like to open talks about the possibility of extending his stay in Glasgow beyond the summer.

It’s understood Vata is looking for regular first team football at this stage of his career.

I'd like him to stay, but he needs to be played if he is, out the B team entirely and in as a first team player, bin Mikey give it to Vata
