Seems to be a common theme the lack of due diligence before we sign players, hopefully the club have learned their lesson and added it to their checklist.

 

You could tell this on the day he signed, looked overweight to me.

 

The 22-year-old has played just 28 minutes of Premiership football for Celtic this season and it’s clear he wants to rack up many more in the second half of the season, whether that be on loan or with the Hoops.

He’s already been linked with a return to Melbourne, with Sydney FC also credited with an interest in his signature.

Speaking to The West Australian ahead of his involvement in the Asian Cup with Australia, Tilio spoke about his underwhelming time with Celtic so far.

He said: “Of course from the outside it’s been tough. I obviously went to the club with an injury. But I’ve been back for four months now fully training, fully fit

“I probably feel physically better than what I’ve ever been in my career. So I feel really good and I’m just raring to go, ready to play and hopefully this tournament’s a chance for me to do that.”

Tilio then went on to hint his immediate future may lie outside of Glasgow by issuing a plea for more game time.

He continued: “I think it’s only improved me as a player being in and around that every day. But overall, I’d like to get more game time and whatever that looks like, we’ll see what happens.”

During his substitute appearance against Hibs in December, we remember Tilio receiving a positive post-match reaction from fans who were delighted to finally see him get a decent run-out.

 

Absolutely loan him out but do it in Scotland. We already know he can succeed in Australia.

He's always had the talent, but being fit for months and barely getting a first team sniff raises a few concerns over his dedication in training.

I also thought it was interesting that we signed him after Ange left, and when asked about it, Tilio said he'd never even spoken to the big man. That suggests he was on the club's or Lawwell Jr's radar rather than Ange's.

 

Can spot these players as usually they're on the way out again 6 months after signing

 

Not sure it's a dedication issue, more likely he isn't good enough.

He won't go anywhere on Scotland, away till after the Asia cup and will likely be away with the u23s after, so he'd get a month worth of games at best here, keep him about, let him international and then loan him next season

 

He was absolutely hopeless in this match. I was sitting in line with the wing he was on and Johnston seemed very reluctant to pass to him.

Hibs would make sense. Albeit I doubt he’d start for them, which says it all.

 

He wouldn't start ahead of Boyle or Youan. I don't think he starts ahead of their new loan Maolida either.
