Had a feeling this morning that we've probably asked about Lingard

 

Lingard was on about 250k a week at forest ffs

 

Hate to say it but lingard walks into our team , unlikeable but good footballer , should have had a better career at a decent level

 

Lingard walked away from West Ham because they wouldn't give him more than 100k a week. Ridiculous rumour.

 

Nah he'd rather be an influencer than a footballer get tae

 

Was reading a bit about his situation earlier, I think he’s a * but he’s signed his rights away to an sports agency, that he’s just managed to annull the contract and the agency sounds like * leeches.

 

I have always thought Lindgard was one of the most overrated players about and looking at his stats on top of actually watching him backs that up.

He had an incredible 5 months at the start of 2021 on loan at West Ham with 9 goals and 5 assists in 16 games. It was also playing in empty stadiums. He would have been bang at peak age then (28).

Before that you are back to 17/18 for his last standout season 8 goals and 3 assists from 33 starts.

Was horribly bad at Notts Forrest and pretty ineffective the season before at Man Utd again. He then screwed over Moyes at West Ham spending ages training with them before trying to go get a deal in Saudi and failing.

I know there is the issues with agency etc but it does put serious question marks about his motivation. He also seems to be linked with a move to Everton which wouldn’t be a surprise due to financial fair play.

The only reason I could see us interested is because Rodgers could see himself providing the redemption arc with him.

 

Lingard rumours mind me of when we were linked with Donny Van De beek, probably through SD23’s fantasy.

Absolutely zero chance it happens, he was on £115k per week plus bonuses at Forrest and he could probably get the same at another EPL club. The most we would pay would be 30/40k no doubt.

Think he's more a winger anyway, which is why this deal is extremely unlikely. Especially with us far down the road with Kuhn.

Said it on the player suggestions thread. If we are targeting an experienced winger to come in for a cheap fee or free transfer, we should be all over Bertrand Traore. Probably on half the wages Lingard was on at Forest and isn't a complete * *.

He definitely did play as a number 10 for West Ham. He mostly played on the wing for United and then went back to the wing for Forest when they signed Gibbs-White.
