Yeah he looked weak and not particularly good at defending. Doesn't really instil confidence like you said.

Just seems like another "punt". I think we should be looking for someone better/more established. Can't be that hard surely to find someone who is solid defensively but offers an attacking threat?

Thats harah hea been playing as a left mid, his average ia 6.5-7.0 for a * team which i dont think is that bad.

Nobody watched this guy regularly on here cept maybe the Benfica fan who pops in every now and again.

 

Last game I had a look at their lineup and he was actually playing LM or RM iirc.

Won 4-0 and he scored.

I watched a bit of their match and aye the team doesn't look great overall but he seems more offensive and if you have scales covering for when he bombs forward then aye it could work but for me doesn't look to be any better than bernabei and defo not better than Taylor and a think most are of that opinion

 

I watched him against sporting the other night and he was bad but they all looked clueless.
As for the shape it was like a flat 5-4-1 when when they were out of posession so Tiago was left back of a 5 then but as soon as they had possession even say from a goal kick Tiago would push up not even to Lm but to Lw ash high as their striker. Hard to judge him but even his attitude nal looked a bit * in that game (only one I’ve watched).
Because of their strange formation they left so much space as everyone would get forward in possession so a lot of the time Tiago would have to sprint back from LW as his man would be getting on the ball in space as the other team counters n a few times he didn’t look arsed. I’d be * off having to play that system meself was hard to judge him but he looked poor defensively and ok going forward. Lost possession a few times that they were punished on the counter aswell

Desperately don’t want this boy. More I hear about him, the more he seems like the Portuguese Bernabei. We’d then have 3 LBs that aren’t good enough to start for us.

There’s far better out there for the money.

 

So he’s better in the air than Taylor. Puts in more crosses (with less accuracy). Wins slightly more offensive duels.

Every other metric he’s weaker.
