He 100% has the ability. Just needs regular game time and to settle over here without the instant pressure..

We have so many young players who could be doing with a loan spell at a fellow SPFL club. We waste so much talent and money.
Do we even have someone in charge of loans? We really could do with a Director of Football or Loan Manager who can sort this kind of stuff out if the manager doesn't see a place for them to get many minutes on the pitch.

I'd imagine we must have but I'm no sure who it is?

    I don't think we do?
    Our staff according to TransferMarket;
    Manager - Rodgers
    Assistant - Kennedy
    Assistant - Gavin Strachan
    Assistant - Sadler
    GK Coach - Woods
Head of Youth Academy - Hammill
    Academy Manager - McCart
    Chief Scout - Mark Lawwell
    Scout - Tosh McKinlay
    Sports Scientist - McElhone
    Head Analyst - Dunbar
    Advisor - Gordon Strachan

I'd like to see us have a loan manager but no doubt our club would see that as a waste of money. But if that list is correct we need more * scouts. That is grim.

Is Gordon Strachan still involved? If so anyone any idea what he's actually doing? Forgot about that.

Wouldnt surprise me. Desmond has always been a big admirer. Im sure he effectively offered him the celtic job when the two met at a horse racing event down south.

Is he not the Director of Football at Dundee?

There’s more than that list has but McElhone has left now.

We could do with having a specialist set piece coach added in there as well IMHO.

Against Livi I think it was, we scored from a corner (Scales goal) and had two other chances that should have went in.

BR said we’d been practicing set pieces.

And I think we genuinely only done it for a week or that before Livi, and not after it either. The difference between that game and every other one, and Br pointing it out. Seems insane but it looks that way

Damian Duff was excellent for that. To a mental extent soon as he wasn’t there to go through it offensively and defensively.

But it’s down to the manager if he wants to focus a bit more on set pieces, BR’s said we focused more for the Livi game, and we scored from one and should have had 2 more - was good saves rather than poor corners. After that, we’ve went back to hit and hope, or worse take it short with no plan afterwards, and just pass back and reset to play a packed defence

Your right I remember taking note when Rodgers talked about it also having noticed during the game about how much more dangerous we were from corners in particular in that game. Given the sheer number of corners especially we get in pretty much every domestic game having a specialist set piece coach and making clear improvements in that area I really feel would benefit us significantly in games.

He has a ton of ability I just think his biggest problem is I don’t think he’s able to play as a 6 a single pivot and I don’t think he’s attacking enough to play as an 8 for us. He’ll come good for us I think.

Surprised not to see anything on him. Thought he was nice and tidy, kept things ticking over

Thought he was a bit passive a couple of times early on when he needed to be proactive, but improved a bit after his goal. Long way to go but I like him. The ideal project to support the main men in the midfield.
