    Brendan Rodgers has revealed Celtic are in the midst of transfer discussions in the background - as he ruled out exits "at this point."

    The Hoops manager wants to bring in reinforcements in January as he continues to strengthen his squad. The likes of Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Oh will all head to the Asian Cup which also may have the Northern Irishman looking to speed up that process. A new striker and a left-sided wide man are priorities for the squad with Mathias Kvistgaarden and Tiago Araujo both being linked with a move.

    Rodgers - speaking after his side's 3-0 win overSt Mirren - explained how there are talks being held and work ongoing that will bring new faces in "sooner rather than later

    There's discussions and work that's going on so hopefully we'll get them in sooner rather than later. When we do, you'll find out," he told Sportsound.




    The likes of Gustaf Lagerbielke, Yuki Kobayashi and Marco Tilio are all believed to be considering departures, but when asked about possible moves going the other way, Rodgers replied: "No, not at this point, no.

    Peter lawwell out the picture, we get signings done in advance and quickly.
    He returns and we have last summer's window and, albeit literally days in to the window, but slow moving and a manager trying to curb expectations.
