Fair enough, but since then, he's moved to a club which isn't exactly founded on a tolerant, open world view. They are called the Diet Huns, afterall.

I knew better than to be homophobic at 17 and so do plenty of other 17 year olds today. I also said his alleged lack of professionalism is a concern. For me these are legitimate reasons not to want him associated with us in any way.

I don't want Shankland. I was just watching the highlights of the Edinburgh derby on YouTube and it reminded me of how many goals he scores by giving defenders sneaky wee shoves. He's 100% getting pulled up for those if he's a Celtic player.

Some save from Zander Clark btw! He's not in the same league as Boruc or Forster were; but he's probably comparable to what Gordon was, which is to say much better than any GK we have on our books at the minute. I know we all used to moan about Gordon because we compared him with Forster and Boruc and he was clearly a downgrade; but he was better than anyone we have now. Could Clark be worth a cheeky wee bid?

I fully agree with you mate. Even if we were to spend that much on players to ensure we get the league and the money etc that comes with it, the players we would sign we would most likely sell in 2-3 seasons for a profit on what we paid for them aswell. I reckon 3-4 quality signings with some experience in either a good league or in Europe even say conference league would definitely get us to winning the title this season.
Wouldn’t even say we’d need more “project” signings as we’ve signed quite a few in summer that still aren’t featuring and are settling in.

Sometimes our boards ambitions really boggles the mind. Suppose we’ll see how ambitious they are in the next couple of weeks

Nah, we need better than Zander Clark mate, he's nowhere near as good as what Gordon was either..

Shankland will be a Hun signing and will score a fair few for them..

Clark isn't a good keeper. He makes far too many mistakes that cost goals.

Shankland would never get the amount of space and chances with us that he does with Hearts. His lack of pace wouldn't work facing packed defences.

All the recent hype about Shankland is overblown. He went about nine or ten games without a goal earlier in the season.

That’s good if true, you know anything about him? I seen one video on him and it didn’t overly impress me but never watched him in an actual game

Kyogo is the only good striker at the club and it's the most important position.
With Asian Cup taking him away and the fact we need competition for Kyogo longer term (someone who could take his place eventually) we really need 2 strikers incoming.

Oh will not be missed at all, can't believe it's come to this but I'd rather play Maeda at CF in his normal Japan position than Oh, but he'll be away too.

A short term, top quality loaner striker from a top league club with too many players plus a long term signing at minimum required.
I'd take Shankland if we have to fish on the SPL pond, Miovski a better fit overall and longer term.

As for rest of team, sooooo much work to do but that will take more work than a Jan window can cover.

So we're just writing off anyone who has played for the huns or diets?

If they have a hunnish character, yes. Ange signed people, not just players. That should not stop being the case.

Kyogo has 3 in his last 15 in the league playing in a much better side. I'd class that as poor form.

Strikers have bad patches. It's quite clear he is a good finisher and proven in Scotland.

I don't understand how his lack of pace wouldn't work against packed defences? Where there isn't space?

Surely that would mean his movement and insrinct come into play? That doesn't make sense. Maeda is rapid but absolutely dog * against 85% of the teams we face domestically as an attacking threat for that reason because he doesn't have a footballing brain. Pace isn't everything.
